Emoto Asakusa

Great stay, would recommend

Pros: Great location, walking distance to Sumida river (which has a lovely walking route along it), Sensoji temple and only ten minutes from Asakusa station. It's a self check in room, but the host was very quick to respond to any messages and the description of how to get in was very easy to follow. Surprisingly spacious and it was super useful having a kitchen unit with everything you could need. The separate toilet and shower was also handy for two of us staying there. There is a Lawsons directly underneath for late night snacking! I would definitely recommend this place!

Cons: The beds are a little bit harder to sleep on, but that's just my preference and the road can be noisy, but that can be expected for a busy city! Stayed in February and the apartment was a little chilly, especially the bathroom. There is an air con/heater unit in the bedroom, which certainly heats the room, but it doesn't reach as far as the bathrooms, although I think this is quite typical for Japan anyway.

Pros: The house is spacious, just nice for 3 people. The bus station is just at the front door of the lobby, really convenient, especially for elderly.

Pros: The property was in a quiet neighbourhood with good access to a bus, train station and sites around Asukasa. The property was clean and the host was very responsive and got back to us promptly. The instructions for the host were clear and easy to follow. The property is based above a Lawson’s store, there is a laundromat nearby and plenty of food options near Asukasa station.

Cons: The property was a little small and crowded for 3 adults. It’s probably reflective of apartments in Tokyo.

Pros: This was a great start to our Tokyo trip! On the ground floor, there is a convenience shop underneath where we were staying. You will live within walking distance to Sensoji Temple, and the Skytree is 2-3 subway stations away. This is a great budget option for Tokyo, especially because of its location.

Pros: Very good location. Bus stop right outside the door and convenience store directly below the flat! Small balcony with a view of Skytree was very nice. Very, very nice host! Good communication, easy check-in!

Cons: A proper table would have been good for the sitting area. A toaster would be nice!

Pros: Nice and clean. Lovely host, very responsive and communicative. The apartment is well equipped. Love the washing machine and balcony to dry our clothes. Clothes needing washed after whole day out at 38 celsius. Very handy with a convenient store downstairs. Quiet environment and comfy beds too. Would highly recommend and thank you.

Pros: A nice apartment in a nice area with everything you need for a cosy stay. Very useful air conditioning. The host was nice and answered our questions right away via email. There is a convenience store right below the appartment. Senso-ji temple and Nakamise street are withing walking distance (20 minutes). There is a bus stop right in front of the apartment, the bus takes around 30 minutes to reach Tokyo station without having to change buses. The beds are cosy.

Cons: It is noisy. You hear quite loud traffic during the night, so it is more difficult to sleep.

Pros: Location is great. It is about 15 minutes from Asakusa station. Direct line from both airports. Old city is realy close. Walking distance or by subway.

Cons: There is cold coming throught balcony. You can use aircondition to heat the air.

Comfortable apartment in a nice quiet neighbourhood of Tokyo

Pros: Clean apartment with comfortable beds in a quiet location. Host was always prompt with replies and made the effort to have the apartment cleaned quickly so we could check in early. Ideal location for a family as whilst it is quiet, there are still local restaurants

Cons: Little far away from sites and transport, but I knew this before travelling
