Great stay in quite neighbourhood.
Pros: We really enjoyed the two-floor set-up. Having two couples meant we had more privacy and more time for each other. We appreciated that there was a separate living room, besides the sleeping area (which is not that common in Japan, as often in hotels you use the same space for the living room and after lay out futon beds and sleep in the same area). It was the first property we stayed in Japan after arrival, located in a nice, quiet local neighbourhood with few tourists, which gave us a more authentic experience compared with other, more central neighbourhoods.
Cons: We are tall, and sometimes we hit our heads because the interior is authentic and the doors are low, haha. And it was our last stay, later we got used to bowing down.

Rare experience.
Pros: How often you find a hotel / hostel that give you the experience of staying at the traditional Japanese house near Tokyo city? - the answer is not often and rare. Love this place and the night sleep is so well here. Its time to relax!. You will also love the bathroom experience here. If you have the chance, I really recommend you to stay here!.

Pros: The property was clean and had all the ammenities needed. Beds were comfy and the shower was great. Staff was super communicative through messages and extremely helpful.
Cons: Location is not Asakusa but Sumida city. There was also a bit of an old closet smell through the place but it was faint enough.

Perfect Ryukan
Pros: We liked everything. Checking-in was easy and quick. The rooms were cozy and beautiful. We chose to sleep on the futons provided (in the closets) and had a beautiful night's sleep every time. The tatmi mats and wood-paper paneling give the perfect traditional Japanese atmosphere. The kitchen has everything you need. The traditional shower was great, the bath is pleasantly deep and we always had hot water! The location is also amazing. There are several stores near by, public transportation, even a vending machine close by. Everything you need, and it was somehow perfectly quiet and peaceful around our neighborhood. WiFi was also very good. When we come back to Tokyo, we will always try to book this place again.
Cons: We really tried to think about something we didn't like - and we could not find one thing.

Live Like a Local Near Arakawa – A Hidden Gem in Tokyo
Pros: I really enjoyed my stay at this accommodation, perfectly located between the Tokyo Sky Tree and the Arakawa River. The neighborhood is very quiet — ideal for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The place is a bit hidden, which only adds to the feeling of truly experiencing everyday life in Japan, far from touristy spots. The accommodation was spotless, and there are two convenience stores (konbini) just 2–3 minutes away on foot, which is super convenient. I highly recommend renting a bike to explore the area — it’s a beautiful and peaceful way to discover the neighborhood and enjoy the scenic views along the river. In short, a discreet but special place, perfect for anyone who wants to experience Tokyo from a more local and authentic perspective. Highly recommended!

Wonderful, clean accommodation for an authentic Japanese style experience.
Pros: Great first experience in Japan of a traditional accommodation. Our boys loved their first Japanese bath. Comfortable bedding and good amenities.
Cons: The internal stairs don’t allow heavy suitcases to Be taken upstairs.

Pros: My family is 5 people. Each of us has a bed. That’s so nice. The kitchen has everything we need. I bought some food materials and cooked noodles in the kitchen. It’s so good to eat hot delicious food. The house is around 7 minutes walking distance from the subway.
Cons: It took us a long time to find this house. Several houses have the same number as this. We checked one by one and at last found it. And we used the code and came in. It likes our home, sweet home. Though it’s not big, it’s so clean. Thanks!
