Shinagawa-shuku Guest House & Tours

Pros: Very friendly staff! Had the pleasure of meeting Tai, Roco, and few others. They were considerate, engaging, and can understand/speak English pretty well (at least, more so than my fluency in Japanese)! Staying for a few days where I mostly spent them travelling around Tokyo, I had no issues with my stay here!

The area itself has much to offer, and Shinagawa-shuku suited my simple needs for accomodation

Pros: Each one of the staff are warm and welcoming, and are very willing to help you out if you have any questions or queries. They each have their own specialty/recommendations as well, all you need to do is ask! There were quite a handful of activities planned out due to the timing of my visit, so I was lucky in that regard too. The room I chose was small and comfy despite the winter cold outside. The facilities are decent enough for my daily use, and there is a family market very conveniently located 2 doors away (for those late night snacks) and several my basket/ family restaurants nearby if you're moving about in the day. A train station is situated just a short walk away for your daily commute if that is important (kitashinagawa station). The location in general has a lot of history and interesting spots to explore, perhaps one of the staff may offer a guided tour, if you're interested...? ;) Til next time!

Pros: I really liked the cleanliness, the comfort of the room, and how peaceful the place was. I also appreciated the kindness of the staff, who were always attentive and helpful. It was a very pleasant stay.

Cons: There was nothing I didn’t like. My stay was short, just one night, but everything was very pleasant and met my expectations.

Perfect for travellers

Pros: This was the last place we stayed during our Japan trip, and we chose it mainly because it’s just a few stations away from Haneda Airport. I must say, the hospitality here really stood out. The staff are incredibly kind, helpful, and genuinely warm. The guest house has a cozy common area on the ground floor, making it ideal for solo travellers or a small group of friends. The neighbourhood has a very different vibe compared to central Tokyo, quieter, more local, and less touristy. The nearest metro stations are a bit of a walk, and the monorail to Haneda is around 15 minutes away. Pros: Exceptionally kind and helpful staff Cozy common area Good value for travellers Spacious room for our group of three Convenient for Haneda Airport transit

Cons: Cons: Shared bathrooms, and there’s only one bathing station, you might have to wait during busy hours.

Good quality price

Pros: Staff was very friendly, very conveniently next to train station, calm neighbourhood

Cons: It was very tiny, old and sometimes not extremely clean, but overall nice and good experience

Pros: Hospitality was on point. In case you didn't bring any toiletry they already have it on site such as shampoo, conditioner, towel, tissue, cotton makeup pads expect for tooth brush. Super friendly staff! Best place to stay at for low budget!

Cons: Maybe the only thing that disturbed me, that we had to wear slippers taking a shower and there was only 1 pair which was a bit in my option should have multiple one or disposable ones. I don't feel comfortable using slippers that someone before me used or previously people have worn. Obviously they might change it every now and then.

Exceptional Hostel Community

Pros: Lovely stay the second time around during my Japan trip. Best Hostel vibes in Japan. Great community activities. Would‘ve loved to stay longer and join more.

Cons: The space on the toilet is a bit tight for taller people.

Convenient location if you just arrived from Haneda and want a quiet restful night.

It was the perfect place for my first night. Close enough to the station and the staff very kind
