Great 3 weeks at Temple hotel Shoden-ji
Pros: Location in the city was excellent. Quiet streets. Value for money was awesome. We talked with tourists on our 3 weeks in Tokyo and we realized this was an excellent deal. I would go back with no fear. It is true the tracks are relatively close by our Canadian standards but space is scarce in Tokyo and there are a lot of worse locations in that city. We found the noise of the trains was mild and very similar to the heat pump up on the wall in the bedroom. No problem as far as we are concerned. It was hard to pin point which it was, and it was not loud at all in our opinion.
Cons: It has been difficult to find a super market the way we envision it in Canada. In our mind, the fact that there is a kitchen means we'll eventually be cooking. We found a Summit that needed 2 buses to get there, near Mita station which was ok. Now, 3 days before we left, we stumbled upon the Life store, Tamashi Station tower about 800 meters away. I haven't checked if this store appeared on the apartment's documents but I know, Google maps didn't show it. Or maybe I was not efficient in my searches. Whatever the reason is, I really wish I would have been made aware of that magnificent store near us way before. This is a suggestion and an attempt to help future customers for the apartment. Also, there was a bit of a glitch with the dining set that appeared on the pictures when we rented on Booking.com. It seems this set/space is only present on one of the 2 flats. We had the other one. Luckily, the owners helped us with that and we were able to sit down for our morning and evening meals. Great help from them, thank you again.

Great value and location
Pros: Great location, the apartment was clean and comfortable. The area was quiet. There was plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Walking distance to Tokyo Tower. The train station is about 12 minute walk and very easy to navigate to the main areas.
Cons: The trains are quite noisy and frequent but It wasn't an issue for us they stop around midnight until 4.30am.

Excellent accommodation but noisy.
Pros: Excellent layout and spacious for Japanese standard. Full equipped kitchen. Very clean. Great shower and bathroom facilities.
Cons: VERY noisy. Mainline trains run right next to building between 06:00 and 01:00 making sleeping almost impossible. If you can wear earplugs (provided) then you may be ok.

Would definitely stay here again, appreciated all the facilities and location and value for money as a family.
Pros: Loved the fact that it was a home from home. Very well situated for public transport and getting around Tokyo with a number of good restaurants and shops nearby.
Cons: A little noisy with the trains close by when they are in their scheduled hours. Windows in the kitchen area should have blinds as well as the light comes in early hours.
