Ideal stay in Sumida for exploring Tokyo

Pros: It was very comfortable, well appointed and spacious in a quiet nice part of town, close to all amenities and train. It felt just like home, and was the ideal base for a week of exploring Tokyo. We would highly recommend Sumida Skytree hostel

Cons: Wifi was patchy/weak -this needs to be improved for guests. Communication from hosts was generally okay, but it felt a little impersonal. The biggest problem is that check-in is done remotely, and cannot be accessed on-line until the morning of check-in. This needs to be changed, as it created difficulties for us. If done remotely, then check-in should take place 24 hours minimum (or, better, 48 hours preferred) prior. Not everyone has data on their phones, nor a Japanese eSIM card

Wohnen wie ein Japaner in der eigenen Wohnung

Pros: Man wohnt wie ein Japaner in seiner eigenen Wohnung. Absolut genial. Für Japanische Verhältnisse viel Platz. Gerade als Paar in einem Bett auch für 2 Personen absolut ausreichend. Großer Wandschrank mit viel Platz. Große Dusche mit separatem WC. Kühlschrank und Mikrowelle vorhanden. Fenster zum öffnen. TV mit Internetanbindung (Streaming möglich, wenn auch etwas kompliziert). Mehrere Konbini-Stores und ein größerer Supermarkt 5 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Man hat Anbindung zu zwei Bahnstationen, die in jeweils ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar sind. Sehr ruhige Wohngegend. Wirkt sehr sicher, hochpreisige Autos auf den Straßen zu sehen. Gute Preis-Leistung. Auch für längere Aufenthalte sehr gut geeignet.

Cons: Man hat es etwas länger mit der Bahn in die Innenstadt, hat mich aber gar nicht gestört. Die Bahn fährt regelmäßig und ist leer. Teilweise war es etwas staubig in der Wohnung, insgesamt ist es aber sauber. Es führt eine recht steile Außentreppe zur Wohnung, wo man seinen Koffer hochtragen muss.

Gran lugar para quedarse en Tokio

Pros: Gran lugar para quedarse en Tokio, muy limpio, arreglado y cómodo. El salón es pequeño pero la habitación ideal para dos o tres personas. Lavadora y todo lo necesario para pasar días ahí. Muy recomendado!
