Nishigokencho NA2

A great place to stay if you have a family of 5 or more.

Pros: We liked the location, and that my family of 5 could stay together in a comfortable home. Best of all, this apartment had 2 toilets and 2 showers. And a washer/dryer. The family room/kitchen was also nice so that we can cook some meals and eat together. There are many 7-11's and Lawson's nearby. But the best, was that there is a grocery store just 5 minutes away. Every night, they marked down the prepared meals, so we saved a lot of money by buying the reduced priced sushi and cooked meals!

Cons: The two rooms, have beds cramped into the rooms, so there's no room for luggage, and even to get out of the bed, you almost have to crawl over the person next to you. The beds are getting worn, and there are sunken areas in the mattresses. The provided towels are also a tad worn, and thinning. There is no heating in the toilet rooms, nor the showers. We stayed at the airbnb, during December, and it was chilly in the bathrooms. The washer/dryer is one machine that does both. The instructions left by the host wasn't very detailed. I had to ask people on facebook, on how to use the machine. Also, due to the cramped bedrooms, all our luggage had to be placed in the family room, and we had to get dressed in the family room. The host has signs that no shoes are to be worn inside the house. This is fine, and tradition in Japan. However, if you stay at a hotel, they provide house slippers. This host doesn't supply house slippers, so you will need to bring your own. I wish I had known earlier to pack my own slippers.
