Kan'eiji-zaka Heim 寛永寺坂ハイム

Convenient and strategically located

Pros: This place is great particularly if you wish to stay together in a group. The location is great as it is really close to JR Uguisudani station with quick access to Ueno and Nippori. The host also provided all the necessary facilities making our stay comfortable. We also appreciated the host, Hana for being super responsive and accommodating to our questions and requests. Thank you, Hana.

Cons: The building is a little dated but the convenience and strategic location more than make up for it. As it is near the train station, the area can be rather lively. However, it was not an issue for our family. We enjoyed our stay there.

Convenient , walking distance from station on the Yamamote subway loop

Pros: Well located close to a train station, but also in a less busy neighbourhood. I loved that it was not a touristy area and I could observe local people going about their daily life. It was also walking distance to Ueno Park for my morning walks. It was very reasonable priced and whilst compact, we enjoyed having a bedroom each for the three of us. It was nice to have a soak in the deep bath after a long day of walking. You can hear the trains but for me that was part of the comforting background noise.
