APA Hotel Keikyu Kamata Ekimae Nishi

Not bad for a short stay

Pros: I was a solo traveller and booked for the twin room. While the amenities are basic, the room was actually fairly spacious and larger than some of the business hotels that I've stayed in central Tokyo. There was a 50+ inch LCD TV and a fully operable air conditioner. Check-out process is automated, simply by leaving your keycard in a special box. The hotel is only a few minutes walk to Keikyu Kamata station which is only 20 to 40 minutes ride to Haneda airport.

Cons: The extractor fan in the bathroom is old and noisy, maybe the bearings are worn out and it either needs replacing or lubrication. You can turn it off for some peace and quiet though. The pillows are filled with sobakawa (buckwheat hulls) and while they are durable pillows, whatever is in them pokes you in the face as you try to sleep. The other alternative pillow is a hard foam block that has a contour that doesn't match side sleepers. The beds are comfortable but the pillows made it difficult to sleep. Checkout time is early at 10AM.

Great option for a business type hotel in Japan. Close to train station and easy to get to from airport. Very respectful

Pros: The staff are friendly, the room was clean, this location was close to the airport which was handy.

Cons: I think the price of the rooms is pretty expensive for the size of the room. This seems to be the case amongst many places in Tokyo.

Excellent choice in Kamata, near to Haneda.

Pros: Very good location in case you arrive or plan to depart from Tokyo from Haneda. Shops are near, restaurants are also. Shopping possibilites, an KK line is also in 5 minutes walk. Overall very clean, well equipped room. The staff are very helpful.

Cons: Nothing.

Perfect for a sleep after a late night arrival into Haneda

Pros: After a late arrival into Haneda, I decided to find something close by for a sleep, and head into central Tokyo the next day. This hotel worked out great for that plan. Have always found APA Hotels in any location to be consistently good with everything you need at a pretty reasonable rate. The checkin staff were great and very helpful. As with everywhere in Japan, there was a close by seven eleven for a late night beer and snack (as well as printing out a concert ticket that I was in town for) and train station for travel into central Tokyo the next day.

Nice stay with good links to Haneda Airport and central Tokyo

Pros: A great location that's just next to Keikyu Kamata Station (for the airport) and is only 5 minutes from JR Kamata station (Keihin Tohoku line trains to Shinagawa only takes 9 minutes which you can transfer there for the Shinkansen, Yamanote Line to Shibuya and Shinjuku). The room was nice with a comfortable bed. Staff were really friendly.

Great location, though the room is small

Pros: The location is good, near the station. Only 15 minutes from Haneda Airport

Cons: Room is small but offers good value for money

Pros: The bed was amazing. I stayed here beacuse I had an early flight from Haneda. I would stay again if needed to be close to the airport before my flight - also the bed.... My review is based on just one night. They kept my luggage safe before I could check in.

Cons: The view was right into another room so that was unfortunate. Would have liked a view to the outside.
