Decent cheap stay in Tokyo. You get what you pay for

Pros: Great host, he let us check in very early in the morning. It’s a cheap price for a decent location in Tokyo.

Cons: We had a small room with no windows so just ok for sleeping not really spending any time besides that there.

Pros: Easily accessible and good value for down town North Tokyo

Cons: Not a lot of space. No where to sit other than own room.

Best deal for a few days close to Tokyo center.

Pros: 20 minute walk to Ueno station. Great to catch a train and National Museum + National museum nature and science.

Pros: We really enjoyed our stay, it was clean and cosy! The location is very convenient, would definitely recommend this place!

Great value

Pros: This is a great accommodation for backpackers looking for a very affordable place to stay. Although small, it provided all the necessary amenities. Check-in and check-out were easy, and located near a train station in a quiet part of Asakusa.

Pros: I like the location as it is near the station and at the same time quiet area I also like that there are a lot of hangers

Cons: Probably more on the room given to us, I noticed there's a hole although it was closed, i felt.it could have been fixed better. I hope the sink's hot water is working.

Worth the money, and good location, but be aware if you are sensitive to stench or intensive humidity/ mold.

Pros: The location was excellent. Close to metro and train lines. Felt very safe. Very close to the touristic area Asakusa and to some nice shops. The host was nice, helpful and resposive. We appreciate that he let us leave our luggage after check out. Two shared showers, they were clean and the water pressure was good. There were all the necessary amenities.

Cons: Mold and humidity. It smelled really bad in our room (which was on ground floor), so bad that all our clothes and everything permeated with the intensive moldy stench. It’s quite difficult to get rid of it. It seemed like the wood from our bed was covered in some kind of mold :( it was hard to breathe and there were no windows at all in the room. Also there were many tiny spiders. And above my bed in the wood -spiderwebs. What’s more - it was quite noisy because in this room you could hear every step from the stairs which were above our room, and also everyone passing next to our room to the common bathroom. We couldn’t sleep well there.

Pros: Great location in quiet neighbourhood. Easy to reach from Narita Airport with Keisei skyliner to Ueno and 1 stop Ginza metro G17 from there 5 min walk. Basic but good facilities. Powerful shower, airco. 5 rooms with bunkbeds. Was very convenient for our family of 6. Good communication with the hosts. Easy check in.

Would stay again

Pros: All the basic amenities you could need for 3 nights. Comfortable beds. Good location for access to/from trains, food, and walking. Was very easy to communicate with Shin & Dad using in-app messages. Safe and secure. We hired the whole place for a group which was great! Could be a little cosy if you're booking just a room and each room is occupied by people you didn't know. If you have a room upstairs the stairs are quite steep and narrow. Each room only contains a small amount of space for luggage. So if you're travelling heavy/lots of bags, may not be suited to you. The only suggestion would be to add a full length mirror somewhere, as there is only one small vanity mirror in the bathroom :)
