Great place to stay

Pros: I liked that the beds were capsules instead of bunk beds. The woman at check-in was very friendly and nice.

Cons: The room is kind of narrow

Style over substance, but a decent option for one night.

Pros: Comfortable bed. Nice staff member at check-in. Good price on a Saturday compared to other hostels in Tokyo.

Cons: It's a pity that the layout of this place was designed to push in as many beds as possible, as the building & location are excellent but there's just too many people packed into the space, and not enough facilities. If you're looking to sleep in until right before checkout, adjust your expectations because it won't be possible here. Toilet/bathroom area is not separated from the sleeping area by a door, so sound travels into the dorm every time people use it and there's absolutely no illusion of even semi-privacy while using the few washbasins.(as if to prove this point, an man came up and tried to spark a random conversation with me *while* I was using a washbasin (which felt a bit... unusual? Not quite the normal etiquette anyhow). He didn't introduce himself initially but he turned out to be the owner. Maybe he was looking for either feedback or positive reinforcement, but I was hurrying to check out on time (as it's strictly enforced there and I'd had to wait for the bathroom) so couldn't really give either). Photos (though not the written description) may lead some to infer that there's a bar of some sort; but there is not. Not a complain on my part as I didn't need or expect one (I just needed a bed for the night); all there is is a small room to eat and drink in, which is the only communal space. No luggage storage before check-in, or after check-out. (although this makes sense because there is not really enough space even for the luggage of guests who are actually staying, every inch is in use so there's absolutely nowhere anyone could leave a bag). Although there weren't any specific rules that were different to any other hostel, the vibe with which they were implemented seemed a touch draconian somehow, giving the feeling of an fully booked YHA/HI hostel rather than the quality place the owner is obviously aiming for.

Pros: I absolutely loved my stay at this Tokyo hostel. It had such a cozy, homey vibe and felt truly authentic to the local area. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, always ready to help or share a recommendation. The communal area was a great space to relax and meet other travelers. I’d definitely stay here again!

Pros: Good for solo travel. Not so far from JR Ueno station. Close to subway Ginza line.

Pros: Best is the vibe of the hostel (More traditional than modern in that sense, which it's cool). Also the facilities are nice.

Cons: Everything is awesome

Pros: To sum up, you get what you pay for. It is a good place for a short stay, to drop off your luggage and rest for few hours after a night out. Definitely pick another spot if you'll spend more than one night. Even though it's cramped, beds were surprisingly comfortable, there was USB charger and it was quiet.

Cons: Due to small space it's difficult to unpack a bag. As others mentioned, not enough toilets or showers when the place is full.

Good for the money. Some improvements needed

Pros: The property is nice and well located. Relatively close distance walking from several places. The host is nice and has a great English level.

Cons: There is a single room for too many people, the beds are noise with little sound isolation between them when comparing to other hostels. I don’t think they should advertise female room, as it is the same room, just around the corner without any door in between. I don’t think several women looking for privacy and woman only rooms would consider this a good hostel.

Cute

Pros: The girl at the check in was really lovely and the bunkbeds are spacious maybe just too high as I was staying on the top bed but it's really good.

Cons: maybe just need to improve the sharing space and not enough toilets or the shower it's shared with also males so it get crowded just by having 4 people

Perfect for a short stay and exploring the city.

Pros: I really liked the bed, it was really comfy. The lounge was perfect for meeting new people and working a bit. The staff was really friendly and helpful!

Cons: It was a bit difficult climbing the higher beds silently, because the ladders were a bit noisy. I did miss mirrors in the small bathrooms but there were ones in the bigger bathroom. The bins were pretty small so they were overflowing quickly, but it was not really bad.
