Book And Bed Tokyo Shinjuku

Well located but a bit overpriced

Pros: Nice capsule hostel, the room details were very nice. Cosy little capsule and good for a night. Well located, in the heart of Shinjuku. Plenty of showers.

Cons: The bed was very thin and uncomfortable. Capsule felt a bit like a coffin because of the wood! It was well located which explains the price but the whole ‘sleeping in a book store/ library’ was a bit of a let down - I wouldn’t pay that again

Pros: The place is perfectly located and very cozy, the vibe is great. There are plenty of toilets and showers The cafe in the front has an amazing view You get what you pay, I don’t understand why people complain in booking posts, this is a cheap hostel that is way better than europeans

Funky and novel space to stay!

Pros: Very novel space to stay in. Surprisingly quiet despite the close proximity of sleeping spaces with other guests. Funky and cool.

Cons: Reception weren’t super friendly but that wasn’t too much of an issue.

Pros: The location was excellent - central and close to the train. It was very clean and the facilities had everything you needed. As a couple it was great but I would also recommend this for solo female travelers as it felt very safe.

Cons: The only thing was it was very hot at night. But it seems that there may have been something happening with the heating because by the third night it was a much better temperature.

Very interesting concept

Pros: Very nice concept of sleeping in a library, I liked that. Great price for Tokyo. I feared there would be loud/drunk people, but that was not the case.

Cons: The breakfast is pretty simple, just granola or toast (both taste good) and one drink. The black drinks taste really weird. And the coffee machine was broken in the morning.

I enjoyed staying here. Nice and cosy place, centrally located.

Pros: Excellent location right in the heart of Shinjuku with lots of restaurants and shops. Busy on the street but quiet in the hostel. I also loved the decoration with hundreds of books.

Cons: As I arrived before the check-in time, I asked the staff if I could use WiFi and he said no. To me, this is the least you can accommodate the guests. I was disappointed.

Great location in the heart of Shinjuku

Pros: Really funky place, with an amazing view from the common area. An interesting experience in the heart of Shinjuku. Great location. Very quiet to sleep, everyone was considerate around the small spaces.

Cons: Young and trendy staff, but no smiles from staff, they acted quite snappy and irritated all the time. Bathrooms/showers are busy and not as clean as in other places we stayed in this trip. Cribs can get quite hot for lack of ventilation.

A very chill location, great and helpful staff - I had a medical emergency they helped with!

Pros: loved the ambience of the locaiton and the vibe that they managed to create with the books and capsule hotel combination The staff were also very kind and helpful, especially when i had a toothache and had to do an emergency dentist visit. :D

Cons: perhaps a slightly thicker mat for the futon, but, I was still able to get a good sleep every night.

Convenient for short stays, Nice decour.

Pros: The location is exceptional, walkable distance to the main attractions in the area. The decour of the whole place is very trendy and a lot of mangas and books available. Very well curated as well. Towels and amenities handed for free, pretty handy.

Cons: Some staff attitude was not hospital. The sinks area was always covered in water but that's on the guests, the staff takes care of the bar and the reception so they're not enough in my opinion.
