Tamayura Hotel Asakusa

Pros: Close to Sensoji temple. Good sized room for Tokyo. The rooftop overlooking the river is beautiful

Good location for discovering Asakusa

Pros: We spent 3 nights at Tamayura Hotel and everything was great. The location is perfect for visiting Asakusa, the staff is helpfull, the room was very small (but for us it wasn’t a problem, it’s fine for sleeping!) and well cleaned. Breakfast offered simple but essential to start the day and you can enjoy it in your room or at the top floor with Sumida’s view. Water, tea and coffee always available for guests, as also basic necessities (slippers, razor, toothbrush). We recommend it!

Great stay

Pros: Spacious Room for 4 pax with connecting door, near to subway asakusa line exit a2b and ginza line exit 5-8, near attraction hotel looking over sumida river and sky tree. Free flow coffee and filter water

Cons: Breakfast area and menu can be variety not only bread buteer and jam.

Great place and highly recommended.

Pros: Very clean room with convenient location. The roof top lounge is nice with beautiful view.

Cons: The room is tiny and hard to open the luggage. My mistake to book a semi double room for two adults.

Pros: Excellent location, room is clean and comfortable, pretty close to the metro line that takes you to both airports. Definitely worth the cost.

Cons: My only complaint is about de breakfast. They write that breakfast is included but it’s only a few toasts and coffee that you pick up on the ground level and take to the lounge or your room, not an actual breakfast buffet or meal like it’s expected to.

Amazing, had a great time.

Pros: Good spot, easy to get to other places around Tokyo. Friendly staff.

Cons: Had a few very loud neighbours. Made it hard to sleep a few nights. Walls are pretty thin.

Perfect location

Pros: The location was great - close to Asakusa Station & local attractions. Walkable area & peaceful along the river. The room was spacious & the 9th floor lounge was a fantastic spot for breakfast, happy hour drinks (byo) or heating dinner in the microwave. The staff were always friendly & helpful. We stayed twice & would recommend,

Cons: While the room was very spacious, suitcases had to go on the floor so a luggage rack would have been good. Apart from that, no complaints.

Great location and view

Pros: Location is the best and OMG! View from the lounge. It was the best part to have breakfast every morning admiring the view.

Cons: A table in a room would be better for convenience. Everything else was super good!!

A great base to explore Tokyo from!

Pros: We loved the Asakusa area and found it very easy to get from the hotel to points of interest. It is also close to parks, rivers, and many spots where you can enjoy a peaceful moment in Tokyo. There are 2 convenient stores and a metro station only a couple of minutes away. The breakfast was nice. Check in and check out were easy and efficient. The staff were helpful and allowed us to leave our bags at the hotel while waiting to check in. The room was clean and we liked the Japanese design elements e.g the lamps and the yukata..

Cons: The room is very small, however we understand that this is typical for rooms in Tokyo. There wasn't room to easily store or unpack bags so it was ideal for a short stay but would not be comfortable for any longer than a couple of nights.

Good value, handy location, but quite small.

Pros: Very handy location metres away from an elevator to the Asakusa line - very handy considering it was a rainy stay. Nice view from the 9th floor lounge.

Cons: It was very small, but might be more a reflection of Tokyo. One of the smallest bathrooms I've ever had.
