Affordable option for Tokyo

Pros: Has a good common area and comfortable beds. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Cons: It’s a little far to walk from the nearest station, but nothing crazy.

Cute and cosy hotel

Pros: I like that is is a quiet part of Ikebukuro... yet near enough to shopping and food area just walking distance. I also love the hotel's cute and cosy atmostphere. It makes you feel really at ease and relaxed, also when all your basic needs like toiletries, coffee, tea, microwave etc. are met in the lobby. The staff were also very helpful, even when we needed to store our luggage, they helped us move it into the storage and out at no cost.

Cons: The room is tiny, be prepared for that but it is otherwise comfortable :)

so far i really loved the superior double room i booked. it was big enough to open my luggages while still being able to

Pros: i liked how the lounge was big and equipped with vending machines and there are a bunch of amenities that we can choose from too

Cons: it's a bit too far from the station so lugging around luggages through ikebukuro's main street was a challenge. i wish there were more washers and dryers... there's only 1 of each 🥲🥲🥲

Pros: Great hotel! Small-ish rooms which is to be expected of Greater Tokyo and about a 10 minute walk to the nearest Metro/JR station. Very friendly staff and very clean rooms

Great surprise, will definitely come back!

Pros: Fantastic staff, super helpful with all kinds of issues. Room was very clean, bed super comfortable, a great selection of amenities, nice standard bathroom. A lounge space with some food options in the machine, so good for emergencies. Great location in a quiet part of Ikebukuro.

Cons: Nothing, this was a great option for a standard cheap executive hotel in Tokyo.

It was a pleasant and happy stay. We will definitely book again when we go back tokyo.

Pros: It is near to the train and malls. So many things to do which is within reach. The staffs are very accommodating.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Comfort, staff politeness, helpfulness and value for money.

Cons: Nothing I dislike. Hope to see an expansion of laundromat services in future.

Still one of the best value stays in Ikebukuro!

Pros: I returned to this hotel after a 6-year hiatus (my last stay was pre-COVID), and I’m happy to say it remains one of the best budget options in central Tokyo. The location is unbeatable, as Ikebukuro Station is a major transit hub for both metro and trains. The hotel has since rebranded to KOKO HOTEL, and right before that they’ve made some very nice updates. The lobby now features a free coffee bar and vending machines that offer meals, which is very convenient. While Tokyo hotel rooms are notoriously compact, this hotel offers a great compromise for the price, a huge plus being the common area; you can even use a secondary entrance to access it directly without having to go through the main lobby on the B1 floor. The staff is as always very helpful and friendly, and the overall experience was very good. I’ll definitely keep this on my list for future trips!

Cons: Nothing negative

Great for the price, with a big smile and perfect staff.

Pros: The staff was helpful in every way possible, able to supply me with basic needs, sorting out a last-minute taxi to the airport with all the stress of 4 big suitcases etc. Roomsize was fine for Tokyo, beds were hard but comfy enough and they supply more than basic toiletry needs. Booking.com pictures are accurate 100%, might even be less as though it being better than Booking.com makes it look. 2 big suitcases leaves you some room, 4 makes it playing Tetris but fine for Tokyo trips as we did with loads of shopping plushies and such.

Cons: The room was a bit too hot for our liking and zero airconditioning to cool it down, heating in Japan in general is set to 24-27 degrees celcius in public and this hotel too sadly. We had to open the window everyday all day to make it cold enough to sleep in. Nothing to do with the hotel, it's their culture.

Pros: The staff was great, the location is good but a bit far from the main train station, bunch of restaurants around and convinience store.

Cons: The beds are Japan size standard, pillows really small
