Hotel Grand City

Pros: I choose Ikebukuro which is a little bit far from center of city, because we travel Tokyo many times. we took direct shuttle bus (book in advanced) from airport to Ikebukuro station. it takes around 1:30 hrs. The hotel located near Sunshine city center,department store, etc. Its convenience to get other places. If you travelled tokyo many times, I highly recommended this hotel. it's the value of money : )

Cons: its value of money. everything is acceptable :)

Hotel is located in the perfect spot for a good price!

Pros: Location is amazing. Once you leave the hotel you are in the heart of Ikebukuro.

Cons: They use physical keys and you need to give your key to the staff behind the desk every time you leave. For me that is not really a problem. But just be aware of this.

Very convenient location

Pros: The hotel was right next to a FamilyMart and Sunshine City, and about a 10 minute walk to Ikebukuro Station. The room was nice, a little dated but if you don't mind that then you're fine. The staff were lovely and very helpful when I needed to leave my luggage in the lobby to be picked up for the Airport after checking out.

Cons: Had to give the key to reception or drop it off in a box every time I'd leave so that they're able to know which room needed cleaning service. A little embarrassing having to go up and ask for my room key whenever I'd return, but that's just a shy person (me) problem. Overall, everything else was good except this one thing that I had never experienced at any other hotel I've stayed at.

Pros: The location is awesome and the stuff was super friendly!

Cons: The aircon was very hot and the air very dry… so I had to open the window a few times.

Pros: It is in a perfect location, and the staff are.nice and helpful in general

Clean hotel in good location with very friendly helpful staff.

Pros: The hotel is very clean. Restaurant breakfast is very yummy food with lots of options. Staff are very friendly and helpful. They helped me many times.

Cons: Room is very small. But I can adapt.

Pros: Location/Staff‘s friendly and helpful attitude/flexible room clean time（They typically begin the room cleaning at 10 am I usually attached “Do not disturb” on my door until I went out around noon, when I was back my room was cleaned.)

Cons: Depends on the situation this is not necessarily a con but when you go out you need to give your room key to reception staff and collect it when returning to hotel by letting the receptionist know your room number and name. It is good to prevent from any accidental key loss but kinda awkward if you have a guest.

Comfortable hotel in a superb location.

Pros: Amazing location! It's convenient to everything including shopping, food and arcade games. It is situated in the the heart of Ikekuburro. The windows are double glazed so when its closed its dead quiet so you get a great night sleep eventhough you're at the centre of it all. Rooms gets cleaned daily. There's a drink machine on each floor offering free buckwheat tea, Lipton iced tea and green tea.

Cons: It's annoying having to leave the keys with reception each time you leave the hotel. We booked a room with 3 beds. 2 of the beds were great but the 3rd was a mattress that's not flat so its uncomfortable to sleep on and you will end up with neck and lower back pain. It only fits a child, not an adult.
