Highly recommend!

Pros: The hotel was very well maintained and was a very good price. Noura, who works in the hotel, went above and beyond to ensure my stay was as good as it could have been!

Tokyo Solo female traveller

Pros: Nora and the staff were gracious and welcoming. They made sure I had everything I needed. This is my 2nd trip to Tokyo and this is an ideal location for the city trains and to/from Narita airport. Complimentary amenities are thoughtful. I liked they stocked extra towels and toothbrushes for my 5 night stay. I am a solo female traveller and felt safe here.

Cons: It wasnt a dislike but an option for foam pillows and maybe am extra one. Please note, I did not ask so they may available.

Great value!

Pros: Location near station, and in middle of many good Korean restaurants Ease of check in/out. Staff were very welcoming. The room was perfect for one traveller - not too small and very efficient. I would happily stay again!

Cons: You can hear the morning train jingles as service continues (I did not hear other train station noises - the jingles must carry)

Peaceful but close to Shinjuku and train station

Pros: Less than 2 minutes from Shin Okubon station (Yamamote line), but very peaceful. Very friendly staff. Rooms small but all you need.

Pros: Clean, modern and close to JR station. Plenty of restaurants and convenient stores around

Pros: Very friendly and welcoming staff, with an extra special mention for Noura being so warm and kind. Very close to Shin-Okubo station.

Cons: The rooms are a bit too compact when traveling with large luggage. You're close enough to the train station to hear the jingle from the platform.

A dream.

Pros: Everything; the location in busy Koreatown, the staff was like an angel. It was like coming home. Rooms are small but pretty, charming Japanese furniture, authentic! Very calm atmosphere in the hotel. They were very helpful and easy to deal with. Check in process was very easy. A lot of sweet surprises with free snacks (rice crackers), really good pour over coffee for free. Amazing place. Very worth the price. Clean. Nice hygiene products and you get a pack of bath salt at arrival so that you can hunt into the bath tub immediately!

Cons: Maybe a bit noisy area but you get ear plugs at arrival.

A great stay with an easy, 5 mins walk from Shin Okubo Station and seamless access to Tokyo

Pros: Hotel Matsunoi is quietly brilliant if you want to be close to the action without sleeping in it. Tucked in Tokyo’s Little Korea and just one station from Shinjuku, we often chose the easy 15-minute walk instead. Super convenient for getting everywhere, with a lively night scene that made evenings feel energised, not overwhelming.

Cons: The flip side is the soundtrack. Being near a fire station and on lively streets means sirens, chatter and city noise are part of the experience, especially at night. There is no lift so luggage involves stairs, though the staff kindly step in when they can, and the bathroom is very snug, think airplane toilet energy, with a mattress that occasionally tries to wander off on its own.

Amazing location, super friendly staff and comfortable room

Pros: I really enjoyed staying here! The location is amazing, 1 minute walk from the station and 2 other stations in the area too. In the heart of Korean town in Tokyo so the 24 hr food options are incredible too. Despite being very central, you can’t hear too much of the outside noise either so it’s very easy to sleep and I love sleeping on tatami. The staff also were incredible, so welcoming, kind and helpful!! Particularly Noura at the front desk was honestly so accommodating and friendly, she really made my stay memorable!

Cons: No microwave and the coin laundry is a little bit of a trek away
