Hotel Asakusa KANNONURA

Simple hotel, only great for sleeping.

Pros: It was just my partner and I staying here. I really love staying in Asakusa when I am in Tokyo. The hotel was ok, the service was fine. Wished we got a little bit of a bigger room (or one with sofa) because I did mention my partner is quite big. And especially if we stayed there for a whole week, would be nice to offer a little bit of a bigger room. Everything was clean and fine. The clothes washing cost 500 yen, which is actually more expensive than other hotels I have been (normally it's 200 - 400 yen). The location was close to the sight seeing in Asakusa, with lots of shops around.

Cons: Location: 12 minute walk to the station was actually a bit too far for us, especially after a long day.

Great stay at the hotel asukasa

Pros: We loved the location and comfort d the room It was easy to check in and there was everything you needed for a good stay Super clean too

A great room in a great location! Lots of space. Definitely recommend.

Pros: In a good location, near the Senso-ji temple and a big monchichi store. The room is incredibly spacious and the shared kitchen is a nice addition.

Cons: An odd check in and out system, with no receptionist at the front.

Pros: Loved the atmosphere and that is located in a quiet part of Asakusa

Cons: Room is a bit small but that is the Japanese standard. Other than that really loved the room.

Stylish, comfortable stay on a quiet street.

Pros: Nicely designed rooms, reasonable size and stylish bathroom.

Cons: Check in is not very straight forward.When we tried to ask help from the online receptionist, he wasn't helpful either as he just stared on his screen and didn't talk to us. Thankfully, when I tried to refresh my phone browser, everything went well. There is a Man staff who sounds very agressive when he spoke to my friends when they were in the kitchen/reception. Asking if they were booked with the hotel and asked a lot of questions. This was day 2 or 3. Im not sure if this is just his accent or not. In comparison, the Japanese lady we met on Day 1 smiled at us and welcomed us warmly. Even though, she doesn't speak English. She tried to help us as much as she can. Despite of the issue during Check in. All was well after and I would come back to check in again if we will go back to Asakusa.

Pros: Tucked away in the center of Asakusa this modern hotel was slightly unnerving at first with the lack of staff and skype check-in but everyone one we did meet was lovely, the room was modest,clean and comfortable and the location is perfect being so central! Would recommend!

Pros: Great location with comfortable beds for a very good price. It's more like renting an apartment than hotel, but still great.

Practical room in a quiet location but very close to everything

Pros: It's a great hotel: the room is small but every square metre is used perfectly. It has many small features that made the stay great and easy. The walls seem to be really thick as it was one of the few hotels, I didn't hear people in other rooms/on the hallway. We each got 2 pillows and they were even perfect size and not as high as a mountain. The staff was friendly. Everything is very clean. If anyone complains that the rooms are too small: you can always read how many square meters you book 😂 we loved our stay.

Pleasant stay that is close to tourist attractions

Pros: The room had ample space for 2 people and the design of the room is simple yet pretty. The hotel is near suzukien (matcha ice cream), sensoji and Sumida river, was a lovely walk through these tourist spots. While there was no reception, the dialing option was quick and easy

Cons: Unfortunately we were allocated the room on the 1st floor that had obstructions to the balcony. While the mgmt was willing to offer compensation after raising this to them, suggest for the team to list the room upfront with a lesser cost, or to make the balcony private to the guest
