Ueno First City Hotel

Will definately come back to stay for next Tokyo trip

Pros: The room size, hotel location, facilities & hotel staffs are best. I have repeated to stay in Ueno First City Hotel for 2nd time within 3 months time.

Cons: Nil

Pros: The room size was not as tight compared to other hotels we've stayed in Tokyo. It had everything we needed for a short stay. Train line, family mart, and shops nearby. Good value for money.

Cons: The step going into the toilet can be a hazard if you are not aware of it so just be extra careful. There was a weird smell along the hallway of our floor but not noticeable once inside the room or lift.

Great location and spacious rooms, but the entrance steps were inconvenient

Pros: The hotel is located in a quiet area but just a short walk from metro stations as well as a busy shopping and dining district. The room was spacious, especially by Tokyo standards. The air-conditioning worked well, the Wi-Fi was reliable, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Cons: There are quite a few steps leading up to the hotel entrance, which can be inconvenient when travelling with heavy luggage or with elderly guests. There is also a large step into the bathroom. The toilet itself is very small, with a compact seat that may be uncomfortable for men. Although fresh towels were provided daily, there was no clear place to leave used ones, so they ended up piling up in the room.

Will definitely recommend to friend

Pros: We booked the tatami for 5 pax. It was spacious compared to many hotel in Japan. Good location by walking distance from Ameyoko Ueno & JR Okachimachi station.

Pros: Stopped in the Japanese style room, excellent bedding and pillow. Bathroom was compact but everything worked really well. Location was superb

Great value, good location

Pros: The rooms were clean, good access to transit, and the staff were very kind and patient.

Cons: The laundry facilities were a little lacking and the area to the north of the hotel was a little seedy at night.

Overall, it was a very good place to stay, and we enjoyed our time there.

Pros: The reception staff were exceptionally accommodating and kind. They kindly allowed us to wait in the lobby with our luggage after checkout while we waited for our next transport. The room itself was comfortable and well-maintained.

Pros: Overall very satisfying experience with comprehensive equipment in room and very convenient geographical location near Ueno and Akihabara.

Cons: Language barriers between staff members and foreigners

Pros: Great location, very friendly staff, very clean, all little things you need while travelling are provided, including slippers, toothbrush and washcloths. Really enjoyed staying there, thanks!

Cons: There's no closet in the room, but there are a few hangers for clothes.

Pros: Near subways and Keisei Ueno station. Staff is helpful. Clean room
