Happy with our stay overall :)

Pros: Location is good. Spacious & comfortable. Convenient. Heated floor boards. Choice of aircon or heater in individual rooms a plus.

Cons: Living hall located on 2nd level makes it difficult to carry heavy luggage up for centralised usage, will be better if it was just downstairs. Flooring was dusty when we checked in. The laundry basket holding the towels had a layer of dust too. The washing machine had lots of lint left behind & we gad to clean up before using it.

Excellent base to explore tokyo

Pros: Almost everything! - House is well stocked with all kinds of ammenities including those extras such as filtered water, pocket wifi, universal charger and usb cable - 6m walk to shin okubo station on the yamanote line - 5m walk to don quijote for those late night shopping - 7-11, family mart, lawson, ministop and a korean supermarket all within 5m - quiet area but steps away from the lively shin okubo - its like visiting seoul and tokyo on the same day - japanese toilet - Bonus - walking back from shinjuku station via Kabuchiko, covering many of shinjuku attractions (3D Cat, Godzilla head, Yokocho Omoide, Don Quijote, Kabuchiko etc) along the way.

Cons: Nothing much except that you have to walk up and down a floor from the bedroom to use the toilet, and the bedroom are quite compact, but these are normal for accomodations in tokyo especially for such central location.

Great house close to Shinjuku

Pros: Located adjacent to shinjuku area with tons of restaurants and other amenities, but still on a quiet residential street. The beds were comfortable, and the the main room had a large table and a comfortable tatami sitting area. It had two toilets, the tub was large and the bathroom had a robust heater. It even had floor heaters! I liked the welcome guide with suggestions for things to do, and that many appliances had English labels on them.

Cons: The two closest train stations (shin-okubo and okubo) don't have many lines that stop there. The only route from the train station had somewhat narrow and very crowded sidewalks.
