Pros: We loved the decoration of the house, it was the perfect size for my family of 5, 2 of them being teenage boys. They enjoyed staying in the tatami room. Communication from the host was great. The location was perfect, so close to train station, loads of shops, restaurants and laundromat. We would stay again. They provided plenty of towels for us and the welcome was lovely.

Cons: The only little thing, is the lack of crockery and utensils in the kitchen. A few more plates, glasses, mugs, knives, forks and spoons could be helpful.

Quirky, delightful and comfortable.

Pros: This is a great family option to explore Tokyo from. A quick walk to the train station in amongst the hustle and bustle of Shinjuku. That being said, the road this gorgeous and quirky property is on is very quiet so you don't get a lot in the way of traffic disturbance. The three separate bedrooms offer different styles to everyone and the host makes things super easy. Would definitely book again for a repeat family journey.

Cons: I didn't really dislike anything. But it is important to note (and like a lot of Japanese houses and apartments) that accessibility is not a feature of this property given it is three floors. So if you have mobility issues that prevent you from climbing stairs, then this is not the place for you.

Pros: The place was so lovely and in such a great location, the host was super helpful and sweet. We were very comfortable for our stay. The tatami mat bedroom and sitting area were really cool!

Cons: There were only 2 proper towels for 3 people for 3 nights, plus one that was more of a blanket.

Perfect Tokyo home

Pros: The location is fantastic! 5 stars! Close to the train, food, shopping, night life but in a quiet street away from the bustle. The home was warm and comfortable with everything needed.

Cons: Honestly it was awesome but I would have loved a lounge to sit on at the end of a long day.

Pros: The property was clean, well equipped and in an excellent location within a very easy five minute walk to Shin Okubo station. It easily and comfortably accommodated our family of five and the owner was very responsive leading up to and during our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and recommend if you’re visiting Tokyo.

Pros: The authentic Japanese experience. Clean and comfortable. Great location.

Cons: The stairs were very steep and narrow. My mother is elderly and struggled a bit and my young daughter fell down the stairs. Thankfully a bed on the lower floor to limit the use of stairs for my mum.

My 8 year old adores this place!

Pros: Owner is prompt, explains very clearly, and definitely reachable durinng our stay. Location is great, only a 5 min quick stroll to Shin Okubo station. It was very doable walking with your luggage to the train station during off peak hours. TV has YouTube.

Pros: Świetna lokalizacja, blisko do stacji i restauracji. Bardzo dobry wybór dla większej grupy, bowiem macie do dyspozycji cały domek. Każde z pomieszczeń jest dobrze wyposażone. Bezproblemowy kontakt z właścicielami. Serdecznie polecam!

Cons: Futon na którym spałam był trochę za cienki, więc skorzystałam z dodatkowego.
