Great accommodation

Pros: We stayed for a week in January. I really liked the comfortable beds, the deep bathtub/jacuzzi (hot water was always available) and toilet (bidet functions and heated seat), the heated rug under the table was a plus, and the large washer/dryer. The kitchen area was quite spacious by Japanese standards. The bedroom and utility room (second bedroom in the pictures was a utility room without a bed) were upstairs, which provides privacy as you can close the door at the top of the stairs. The dining/sitting area where we kept a lot of our things and spent a lot of our time, also had a sliding door that provided privacy. Overall, considering that in Japan all spaces are small and compact, Takamatsu House was very good for our family of 4 adults, and it provided us with everything we needed for a pleasant stay.

Cons: It was very cold the first 3 days despite the ac, as we arrived mid January and there is no central heating, only the 2 air-condition units. Also, the vent above the gas stove was too noisy. The neighborhood was lovely and peaceful, however, while we were there, there was noisy construction going on, just one block away in the morning, but we didn't really mind as we were out for the most part of the day.The pictures show a sunny and bright living room which in fact is rather dull. Also, the pictures show a second bedroom which in fact is an empty utility room, although it did provide room for our suitcases(if there was a low table/rack for suitcases there, would have been useful)
