A cool and comforting place to return to after a full day of shopping and adventure

Pros: Perhaps the greatest thing was its location from the station - just about 5-10 minute walk. Its front door is also located down a very narrow alleyway, which offers a unique sense of mystery and security.

Cons: There was a steep hill gating the way to the house - recommend being in shape to climb it every time you return. :D Curiously this location also has an issue with mosquitos compared to other rural locations - and they seem to ignore bug spray.

Pros: Very nice quiet part of town. Akabane station is a brisk 8 min walk for an able bodied person. Had a lovely stay in Akabane.

Cons: Staircase to upstairs is steep and narrow. Would be a problem for elderly or disabled folk.
