Hong Kong 🇭🇰

Good value for money

Pros: Everything was great. Everything you need. Washing machine and the heated bathtub was a bonus.

Cons: We were there in late December. The living room area was supported by one heat unit and it was not enough to warm up the entire area. It was a little chilly but a jumper or jacket in the living/ dinning area will do.

Try some Tokyo suburban life

Pros: Loved the location in a suburban city of Tokyo, very convenient for enjoying Setsubun and plum blossom viewing, as well as Shibuya and Shinjuku side of Tokyo. Local temples were very beautiful, and there were easily available supermarkets and transport services (buses and metro). The layout was a little difficult for 4 people, and space in the kitchen was very limited, but our hosts provided many thoughtful touches. Neighbours were friendly and quiet!

Clean and spacious but uncomfortable beds and location not ideal

Pros: Very clean. Good amount of space with two floors and a little seating/living area beside the kitchen. Location was OK, it's in a very quiet residential area that felt safe and secure. Also the check in process is very easy with a code for the door. Nice that one of the rooms had a little balcony.

Cons: The beds were quite uncomfortable - the pillows extremely weird and there were no sheets, just a mattress cover so it was a bit itchy/rough on the skin, and the mattress itself was not comfortable. The stairs are really steep and having to go down them to use the bathroom in the middle of the night was not ideal. The location is perhaps a little further from the subway station than I would have preferred, and not much happening in the area (it was about a 13 minute walk to Higashi-Koenji station).
