Pros: Well equipped room and cozy bed. There's a tram station within 1 minute walk.
Cons: The sound isolation is not very good. Sometimes you can hear people talking on the street outside the room. But it is a fairly quiet community.

Great value
Pros: Nice to have your own space. Bed was comfy. Good wardrobe. Nice shower. Quiet area. Good transport links to nearly everywhere in the city. 77 bus, tram and tozai line all useful.
Cons: Mould on bathroom ceiling needs attending too. Needs a better extractor in bathroom really.

Lovely location if you want to get away from the throng
Pros: The location is excellent in a walking area along a river so it is quiet, the outlook, from the balcony, is trees and other apartment blocks cross the river, and it's very close to beautiful, historic gardens. We found the space adequate for 3 (on Tokyo standards), 2 sleeping in a very large bed, with a cupboard that fitted our suitcases. Everything worked well. It's not super close to a train station but is OK if you like walking and, if not, there is a handy tram that runs from very nearby to one of the stations and other areas worth visiting, e.g. in the Bunkyo city area. If you wanted to walk all the way to central Shinjuku I think it's about 40 minutes. Even though it's mainly residential, there are local eateries and you can find good coffee. As usual, there are also lots of convenience stores nearby - which in Japan seem to have everything you need. I would stay there again.
Cons: Hard to find as it's not on a street (albeit close to one). Forget trying to use google maps and the taxi had no real way of knowing where to drop us. After knocking on some incorrect apartment doors, a kind person escorted us to the building. Our frustration increased when we couldn't get in as we'd been given the wrong door code. However, we were able to immediately contact the owners by phone and they corrected it. So just ensure you get as much info as possible before you arrive. The other issue for us was lack of adequate kitchen provisions (not much crockery - only small plastic tumblers, tiny china bowls, and I think a small number of plates). I wanted to heat milk in a saucepan but there was only one giant pot, one giant frypan and I believe a large rice cooker (which is all odd as the space to use these in is very tiny). Then there was no china cup in which to microwave it. I also had to use my penknife to cut fruit (although I think I eventually found a giant carving knife). I didn't complain to the owners, although they probably would have addressed it for us if I did, but I suggest they organise the jumble of things under the kitchen sink and re-think the equipment provided. There is a washing machine but no dryer, however, there is a laundromat close by.

Pros: A cozy little place on the river, almost right next to the tram station, and only a short walk from the main train station, as well as being close to some wonderful parks and historic buildings. Would highly recommend. :)
