Ruygo Setagaya by Tranova

We recommend this place if you like to stay in residential area but still close to Shibuya

Pros: We like that the apartment was new and clean. And also enough spacious for 2 people.

Cons: The bed was not enough big for us so we cannot say that we had our best sleep there but overall we had a great time!

Pros: Lovely space - as others have said, the pictures don't do it justice as it is bigger than it looks!

Cons: A bedside light would have been helpful!

Convenient place to stay, in a nice neighbourhood with ok connection to other parts of the city.

Pros: It was clean, and with many amenities that helped us a lot (like drying your clothes in the shower room. The neighbourhood is very nice, with one train station just around the corner and another within walking distance (about 20 minutes). Also super quiet and safe.

Cons: The wooden frame of the bed is bigger than the mattress and you can hurt yourself on this.

Clean and compact stay in lovely Setagaya

Pros: Setagaya is a lovely residential area only two subway stops from Shibuya, and then four short stops on the local tram. It's a quiet area with restaurants, shops and local supermarkets. We found a relatively inexpensive restaurant called Cafe Angelina not far from our tram stop (Setagaya) where the chef made food according to our order, and we ate dinner there three nights in a row. It felt like home! The property was clean and compact with not very much room to move around, but it had everything we needed. There's a table and chairs, a nice set of dishes and silverware, and a small kitchen area. We loved the absorbent towels. There's also a washing machine, but it's a little rough on the delicate items, so take care about what you put in there. We had no contact with the host, but the instructions we were sent were fine so this was not an issue. Tourist information gave us a special booklet about Setagaya which helped us get around easily and learn about attractions.

Cons: You need to open the hot water when you take a shower and close it when you're done, but it was easy to do and worked well. The bed is on a relatively low platform and might be a little soft, but it was OK. Perhaps that could be improved.

Pros: Location is a bit away from central Tokyo but the surrounding area is really nice. A more local and authentic Tokyo.

An easy overnight stop but check extra charges

Cons: Slight old shoe smell Pricing is not transparent ie. extra charges were not explained and you could be surprised

Excellent area to stay in, flat is in a quite neighbourhood, with all the facilities you’ll need

Pros: Excellent location, 5 minute walk to the tram stop. Nice interesting suburb with a shop 50m away. Places to eat close by. The areas 2/3 stops along the tram were worth a visit.

Pros: 部屋がとてもきれいで、必要なものは全部揃っていました。駅も近くてとても便利！ 周囲も他の宿泊者も静かで快適でした。

Cons: 建物の外壁を照らす演出系のライトが、部屋のカーテンのない枕元のガラス窓で明るく光っており、就寝時に真っ暗に出来なかったのが少し残念。クッションを窓に詰めましたが明るさは押さえられなかった💦

Pros: Super miejsce, komunikacja świetna, klucze odebrane ze skrzyneczki. Polecam serdecznie !
