Hostel Hana An

Pros: Great location in Kanamachi, near the Edo river and 20 mins walk or 1 train stop from Shibamata. Staff were great, responsive adaptive and helpful. We had a very comfortable stay in an annex. Fantastic value for this lovely, residential and historic neighborhood of Tokyo

Great place in a quiet neighborhood

Pros: It had a little kitchen area with a microwave so I could buy my bentos and just warm and eat at home.

Cons: Toilet didn't have a bidet. :(

Pros: The hostess is so welcoming and the building a lovely old house in a classic shitamachi neighborhood. Very clean facilities, spacious enough rooms with tatami floors. 10-15 minutes on foot from stations and shopping.

Cons: Everything was fine.

Pros: Clean room (we had a twin room) with plenty of space for luggage etc We didn't cook but had all the facilities to do so. Clean bathroom, comfy beds. Fabulous location if you want to feel real day to day life. Close to train station, lots of bars, cafes etc Sento at the end of the street.

Cozy Japanese hostel for great price.

Pros: Very nice and cozy hostel with a traditional Japanese aesthetic (big plus! it has character!). Facilities, including kitchen, were clean. Room was comfortable. Neighbourhood was also very comfortable and safe, not far from the train station. Staff was so friendly and nice, thank you!

Cons: The stairs were very narrow so it was a bit hard to get my big suitcase up and down them, but it is definitely doable.

Pros: Loved that there was a couple bikes we could use to go for a ride around the town and there was some really cool wee local shops selling produce. Biggest thing we loved was having a kitchen and being able to cool our own food and try some of the local products! Would recommend this place to anyone.

Cons: Was a wee way from the city if you wanted to go and explore places but nice to be away from the city if you’ve been in the busy parts. The bed mattress was a little hard for my partner but I didn’t mind it.

Pros: The hostel Hana An is really confortable, clean and really beautiful. We loved staying here, highly recommend!

Very Comfortable Atmosphere

Pros: The whole atmosphere is very Japanese & comfortable! Towel & shampoo are also provided! The walls are thin & it’s a little walk from 2 train stations but if anyone enjoy a nice neighbourhood walk, this is the place! Will be back if I visit Tokyo again >< ✨

Pros: quite local place. next to nice coffee shop, beautiful flower shop and delicious rice cookie shop. the room was very spcious and beautiful traditional japanese floor tadami. when i will travel japan again want to stay here again. recomend!

Comfortable homely stay in a quite neighborhood

Pros: The area around guest house is calm and quiet and our stay was homely. The owner/staff were really welcoming and friendly.
