Japanese experience

Pros: A beautiful traditional Japanese house with a lovely garden and outstanding hospitality. The owners are warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere is peaceful and authentic. Highly recommended for international visitors who want to experience true Japanese culture.

Exceedingly excellent

Pros: Excellent service. Was picked up at Akabane St. and was otherwise offered to be driven wherever I needed to be. Room, toilet, the place in general was spotless. Will be my go-to place in Tokyo.

Great experience

Pros: Adorable family! They met me at the train station and took me there whenever I needed. Otherwise, it is just 15 min walk from Akabane, very safe area. I stayed in a Japanese traditional room, it was clean and had everything needed. Definitely staying there for my next trip again :)

Is it really a 10/10? Well… maybe…

Pros: The property is a gorgeous oasis of a traditional Japanese home, complemented by very caring and fastidious hosts - for whom almost nothing is too much trouble. It is comfortable, yet humble accomodation, but deeply more comfortable, spacious and personable than a hotel.

Cons: There is little not to like. Is it really 10/10.. well maybe not; one could nit pick a thing or two - it’s not especially sound proof for instance. But, who am I to let something so trivial to undo the glorious hard work the family have put in to make this a truly 10/10 experience. Oh, and TBH - I didn’t care much for the dog… sorry K-Chan, I know you’re a crowd favourite, I just like my dogs a little bigger.
