Relaxing and a good intro to koenji.

Pros: It is small but very cosy and practical. A nice lil hideaway to rest in after a day of exploring Tokyo. The shower and toilets were very clean. Yuma was also incredibly helpful and hospitable.

Cons: It’s not a social space - there’s no lounge or common area, but that said you don’t really need one. It’s about resting.

Good

Pros: Good location near Koenji train station where there are many shops and eateries available on short walk. Room and toilet are clean and tidy.

Cons: Wall is not sound proof. may not be suitable for light sleeper as noise from other rooms and footsteps can be clearly heaed

Would 100% book and stay here again as a solo traveller on a budget.

Pros: Private room, very affordable price. Location was really great. Self service check in. Easy to understand directions to get to the hotel. Quiet place to stay with not many rooms on the floor. Nice and clean. There were some flyers and pamphlets of what to do around Koenji which is a great part of Tokyo.

Cons: Futon was a little bit thin and I found it uncomfortable. However, I may not be used to it as a westerner. Room was really cold but was equiped with an air conditioner. No windows in the room so no fresh airflow. I also didn't see any staff for the 3 days I was there, although not a problem for me, it may be for some other travellers.

Pros: Clean, spacious room. Quality on the high end for low budget travellers.

Cons: The doors are very thin, so you can hear everything happening on the other side.

Pros: The staff were so friendly and the facilities very comfortable

Cons: No window in my room but it doesn’t matter too much considering all the positives of the place

Pros: It was clean throughout and there wasn't a lot of guests as far as I could tell so there was no noise from the other rooms.

Cons: There were 2 intercoms which I found confusing. The owner/reception staff were not at reception so I found it difficult yo understand how to check in.

Pros: Koenji is a very nice neighborhood and at koenji station you have many train to go to the center. the room is small but it's still confortable and cheap for the location. There's no common space but a kettle (with coffee-tea) and a microwave are on the first floor

Pros: The location is great, and toilet and shower facilities are adequate. The room had good climate control, and the futons were comfy.

Cozy hostel with authentic, tatami rooms and sweet and helpful renter!

Pros: Cody hostel with authentic tatami /futon bed. Sweet and helpful renter. Central location. Nice and tidy.

Simple and easy stay that offers what it promises.

Pros: Extremely simple but comfortable stay in the hip Koenji neighbourhood. Room was small but offered what it promised. Common facilities were clean and in great condition. Checking in and out was easy even if we never physically met the staff.

Cons: The locks on the room doors are fairly noisy and the soundproofing in general isn't all that great.
