Pros: Ms Kaori has been very helpful with food recommendations. Supplies was more than expected. Even provide some facial toiletries. Bed was comfortable. Able to open luggage in big closet area. 6 mins walking to the nearest train station. Quiet neighbourhood.

Soggiorno perfetto!

Pros: Ms. Kaori is an amazing host and is very kind. The room assigned to us was spacious with all the amenities, we slept great. As for the amenities, everything is left with detailed instructions and the bathroom is equipped with skincare as well! If I return to Tokyo, I will stay overnight here for sure.

Charming space in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to Shinjuku

Pros: The host was friendly and thoughtful in welcoming me and making sure I knew where everything was (including the cutest snacks!), then let me have space to myself. The location was just minutes on foot from Shin-Nakano station on the Marunouchi line, and there were a number of affordable restaurants, convenience stores, etc., nearby. The guest floor was carefully designed and well maintained, the beds and sofas were comfortable, the kitchen and bathroom spotless and well stocked, and the neighborhood quiet. I had a relaxing visit, which is exactly what I wanted. But someone who wants more activity can easily get to Shinjuku, Tokyo, and/or Yokohama/Kamakura in one direction, or to Kichijoji and/or Mount Takao in the other.

Cons: I wouldn't change a thing! However, I was in such a hurry to make my reservation, I didn't realize there are cats on the premise. (Yup, in retrospect I have no idea how I missed that little detail.) I'm allergic to cats, but luckily the host did such a great job with her Swiffer that I was perfectly fine. If anyone has truly severe allergies, I would caution against staying here, but if I have another chance I will accept in a heartbeat.
