Kitazawa Cozy House

Pros: The location is convenient. The house is rather spacious. Beds are comfortable. It is nice to be in an older traditional house. I felt like at my grandma.

Cons: Not enough natural light, windows are tinted.

Great location, nice host

Pros: Great base for a group in Kitazawa for 1 week with shops, salons, food, bars Washer and dryer Great shower! Wonderful host with great welcome, was helpful and accommodating and then kept us to ourselves It’s an older and more traditional house so it won’t be a hotel experience!

Stay in Tokyo like a local

Pros: Such a nice host! Amy gave us a warm welcome and helped us settling in. The house is spacious, clean and close to all the good stuff. This was our fourth time in Japan and definitely the best stay we’ve had in Tokyo! Loved the personal touch.

Cons: It was all good!

A great spot to explore Tokyo from and a quiet retreat to return to at the end of the day.

Pros: It was wonderfully located in a beautiful quiet neighbourhood with interesting local culture. It was really close to 2 train stations, one of them being the buzzing hotspot of Shimo-Kitazawa. The living space was really well presented, comfortable and generously sized. The stairs up are a little steep so be careful. Our host Amy was a delight, so welcoming and generous with her time and handy tips for making the most of our time there. She even had umbrellas waiting for us before we left on a wet morning. Would highly recommend Kitazawa Cosy House.

Cosy, local & convenient place to stay in Tokyo.

Pros: The location in Shimokitazawa is really fun. It is only a couple of minutes walk to Ikenoue train station, 2 stops from Shibuya or about 5-10 mins to ShimoKitazawa train station. Around the station of Kitazawa are many restaurants and great shops, Konbini and some supermarkets within easy walk of Amy's house. It is an interesting area, full of local people going about their daily business. We caught the airport limousine bus from Narita airport and then a taxi from Shibuya station when we arrived and then local trains to get around Tokyo. The house is comfortable with two separate bedrooms, a small kitchen area, bathroom with washer and dryer and separate toilet. It is on the second floor which you have to yourself. Amy is very helpful and provides a water dispenser as well.

Cons: Nothing, it is a great local place to stay in Tokyo.

Pros: Really friendly and fantastic neighbourhood. The host was lovely too and made the stay wonderful. Would come back!

Pros: We had a very pleasant stay. The host was incredibly kind and helpful, and communication was smooth throughout. She assisted us with many issues related to the accommodation. The location was excellent—very close to shopping areas and conveniently near the train station. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, it also provided water dispenser and made us feel at home. Highly recommended!

Cons: It was a bit of a pity that using the washing machine and the dryer required extra coins, but it was still very convenient overall.

Pros: Beautiful place in a great location. Perfect for those who prefer a traditional Japanese accommodation. Great having TV, aircon, etc. Would highly recommend

We really enjoyed our stay!

Pros: We were hospitably welcomed by Amy. The flat is spacious and offers everything you need, even for a longer stay. It‘s very close to Shimo-Kitazawa, where you can find lots of restaurants and thriftstores! Also very close to Shibuya and Shinjuku by train or subway.

Cons: Not necessarily a negative point for everyone but there wasn‘t a bidet toilet.

Pros: The host Amy is warm, hospitable, informative and speaks perfect English. You have use of the whole 2nd floor and Amy is respectful of your privacy. The neighbourhood was a lovely location to explore Tokyo from and refreshingly quiet and calm after the bustle of the city center. Very close walk to two metro stations and close to restaurants and shops as well. Absolutely perfect.
