TOKYO/Shinjuku & Shibuya 10mins/5mins walk to subway stiaon/Kichijoji 15mins/Shimokitazawa 5mins/Louis House

Pros: We loved the coffee shops and restaurants in the area. Train station was close too. Room temp was easy to contol. Nice and warm in the winter

Pros: Location is good in a quiet residential area. The host is nice to answer questions and provide service.

Cons: We could hear guests next door walking and opening/closing room/toilet/bathroom door. Though It may be ok to experience Japanese wooden house.

Best bed I've ever slept on

Pros: I liked that the room was affordable, the location was great and the staff (selina) made sure to keep me well informed throughout my stay! :)

Cons: The walls are very thin, but that's because you're in a house opposed to a hotel! It's nothing that can be helped, and honestly I didn't mind! :)

A peaceful stay

Pros: It was nice and quiet. Bathrooms and toilets were regularly cleaned. Basic room but bed was comfy. Rooms are on the smaller side. Easy and quick communication with host. Walking distance to station. There isn’t a lot in the actual area as it is quite residential but it was peaceful and easy to access surrounding places.

Cons: The rooms are close together and walls are very thin so noise travels easily. Need to be very mindful of other people in the space.

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, quiet location, shared bathroom and shower was always clean and well presented. Close to 2 train stations ones a 10 min walk the other is 5, great location.

Cons: The thin floor mattresses took some getting used to, great traditional vibe of the room.

Pleasant

Pros: Location-wise, it was nice to be in a local neighborhood. Very quiet. Room was clean and had a mini-balcony to sit down.

Cons: Bathroom was a bit small, but doable.

Overall very nice and comfortable stay!

Pros: Loved the tatami room and futon bedding. Easy to get around by train from this location. Directions were very clear, and host was very responsive.

Cons: Unfortunately we had some noisy neighbors in the next room.

Highly recommended if you want to feel like a local and not a tourist. You will not regret it!

Pros: It was close to the train station and super clean. I would definitely come back.

Cons: I wished I got the room that I saw listed but the room we did get was good. I had a feeling that if I asked about it when I arrived we may have gotten a different room. I wanted to sleep on the “floor”! 😊

Pros: Super Lage, freundliche Familie und generell tolles Erlebnis. Nur zu empfehlen.
