Wonderful house and wonderful host

Pros: We had a wonderful 5-night stay with Uchima-san. Uchima-san was an amazing host, made us feel welcome and treated us as family during our stay with him. The house is very cozy, clean, well-equipped with anything you might need and the tatami mattresses were very comfortable. It's located in a very calm neighbourhood, at a 15-minute walking distance from Koiwa station (which is operated by JR trains, taking you directly to Akihabara or Shinjuku stations), and Uchima-san offered us a ride to the station whenever he could. He even took time to take us for a visit to Shibamata Taishakuten, which we appreciated a lot since it's one of the less known temples that we didn't had a plan to visit at first, and it turned out to be one of the most beautiful buddhist temples that we visited in Tokyo. In summary, I would definitely recommend a stay with Uchima-san for anyone visiting Tokyo.

Cozy, comfortable place with an amazing host.

Pros: Naomi-san was an incredibly attentive host. She was kind, showed us an amazing gem of a Sushi restaurant a short walk away from the place, and was generally always on top of all our needs. The place has several rooms you can stay at, depending on your need. Even the smaller rooms aren't too tight, and perfect for a couple to snuggle together, and they all have AC, allowing you to keep the temperature comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet, and the short morning walk to the metro station was easy, even if we had luggage to haul around. There are several small restaurants and a supermarket nearby (as well as the obligatory Convenience stores), so you can set yourself up to either eat out or make some food if you'd like. Naomi-san even made us breakfast one morning - home made Okinawa-style Onigiri (Spam + Egg), which was delicious. Will definitely be coming back in the future.

Pros: Their hospitality was superb. We were there in celebration of my daughter's first birthday. They even bought a cake for my daughter and decorated the living room. We had Okonomiyaki as a welcome food and had been offered a fruit platter. The owner even accompanied us to the bus stop for our trip and even brought us to the station on our last day.

Perfect balance

Pros: So much present and kind attention, this was such a great experience to live in Tokyo with Naomi and Senkei !

Pros: Uchima-san was a wonderful host. Very kind and considerate, he went out of his way to make us comfortable, fed and even drove us from and to the station! We had access to the downstairs facilities as arranged and had a beautiful Japanese style room there with futon beds on tatami. Would say it was very cosy and also clean. The location was nice and quiet and easily accessible, though it does take some time to get to the west side of Tokyo/Haneda airport.

Pros: The owners are very welcoming and kind people, they helped out and prepared delicious dinner and breakfast!

Tatamiroom review

Pros: Hosts are very friendly and helpful. All our questions were answered. This place is good for those who want to meet and mingle with locals closely. But you don't have to interact with the hosts, if you don't want to. The Tatami room is beautiful and atmospheric. This place let's you experience a Japanese homelife. This was the most spacious place we stayed during our trip.

Pros: The owner and his wife is very nice and takes great care of our family. The first day we arrived very late and food was prepared for us. Sometimes also prepared breakfast and snack. The tatami room is clean and comfortable. We are also very satisfied with the accommodation, There are heaters in the room and living room for winter season. It is also very near supermarket and shopping street. We also celebrate Japanese New Year together, which gave us a different experience. Owner also prepared Japanese festival food for us to enjoy. On the checkout day, the owner saw that we had too much luggage and was kind enough to take our luggage to a nearby station. I was really touched. In summary, it was an unforgettable travel experience. I will stay in this accommodation next time if I have the chance.
