TOP EDGE HOSTEL Koenji

Excellent value, rough and ready hostel

Pros: Beds have all the essential features: plug sockets, personal light and curtains. Friendly vibe; good powerful shower; hairdryer; excellent location in Koenji. Great bar at ground level. Excellent value.

Pros: Exactly as described . I felt at peace here and in deep comfort .

Pros: Yoshi the Hostel owner is a very nice person. Thanks to him I have been introduced to many local people, had great nights and made new friends. It was the best vacations I've never had.

Cozy spot in a convenient location. Friendly owner, comfy beds and a great bar.

Pros: The owner was very kind and friendly, the bar downstairs was awesome too. Ended up arriving in time for a Xmas party, which was a blast. The bed itself was comfy and clean, and I had plenty of privacy. Overall, it was a very fun place to stay and great value for money, especially for a short trip. Even better if you're a Muso, the owner has a collection of various instruments and he's more than happy to jam with you too.

Cons: The shower/changing room was a little cramped but otherwise was perfectly adequate.

Pros: Amazing little hostel in every way, great location, great layout and great bar downstairs.

Cons: The hallway is very cramped if you have luggage.

Very affordable stay right in Koenji with an amazing host and hostel vibe!

Pros: The atmosphere is very enjoyable. Yoshi, the host, is very friendly and considerate. Amenities were perfect for what I was looking for (clean bed, clean showers and plenty of bathrooms). Very close to the station. Plenty of cool shops and restaurant/bars in Koenji. I plan to stay here again on my next visit!

Amazing

Pros: The atmosphere was full of good times with the owner hanging around the bar chatting with the locals. The rooms was fine I slept well. The bathrooms and showers where clean and very usable.

Cons: I don't have much to say. I guess that I had to walk 10 minutes from the JR Station?

Pros: It's in a very cosy residential area, not super touristic and gives off more of a homely hostel atmosphere. Koenji is a really cool area with lots of cool shops and bars, the downstairs being one of them. I really enjoyed my stay here and the staff were very friendly.

Cons: It's a bit too far away from the centre so if you plan on going out at night time be prepared for figuring out how to get home.

Cool location close to Shinjuku. Enjoyed it!

Pros: Super chill atmosphere. You can use everything, like towels, toothbrushes, etc.

Cons: Noisy. The location is full of bars so at night it was a bit noisy inside (until 2am)
