Akabane Holic Hotel

Exceptional!

Pros: Rooms were gorgeous and comfortable, staff were absolutely incredible!! We cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Close to trains and many food spots. Such a wonderful stay, thank you!!

The location of the hotel is very convenient. It is very close to the train station

Pros: The hotel was just a one‑minute walk from the station. I would definitely come back

Cons: The TV was repeatedly out of signal, and we had to call numerous times to have it fixed. What I didn’t like was that the room was very small for the three of us. It felt a bit cramped For solo travellers or couples, I can definitely recommend this place. The staff were all very nice and accommodating

Pros: Location very near to train. The space is enough for two. At least we still have space to pray hihi

Pros: Receptionist can speak english. Overall great and good breakfast! Spacious, clean, quiet. Bed is comfortable.

Cons: Lift is a bit slow, but acceptable

Our favourite Tokyo hotel

Pros: This was our second time in three years staying at Akabane Holic Hotel and we absolutely love it ! It might not look it on the map but the location is super good - it’s so close to Akabane train station which connects you directly with most places. It’s also much quieter than the sensory overload of Shinjuku. The rooms are super comfy and modern and the hotel bath is tattoo friendly.

Very nice. Will consider staying here again.

Pros: The staff was very helpful. Breakfast was good. Place was very clean and close to JR station.

Cons: Room was too dark.

Pros: Broke my leg while travelling solo, and stayed at the universal accessibility room here. Large and well equipped, amenities on first floor have good variety. Very near Akabane station (closer to walk there on crutches from the hotel than to walk there from the taxi stand). Staff were very helpful with bringing me ice and picking up my laundry from the laundry machine, kudos to the staff for going the extra mile.

Cons: It's not so bad because I can speak Japanese, but they were not very helpful with helping me make enquiries on airport transfers by wheelchair. I'm unsure if there's a concierge service that can make these enquiries on guests' behalf, but I had a very trying day trying to make all the necessary arrangements to leave Tokyo on my own, and would have appreciated the hotel helping to make enquiries with the train stations on my behalf.

Pros: Room was clean and comfy, although dimly lit. I like that the toilet was separate from the shower room. Breakfast buffet and free tea time snacks were good. Convenient location, just a short walk from Akabane Station which is also well connected to the city centre. Value for money and underrated location really.

Cons: Room was a bit tight compared to those at the same price point in smaller cities in Japan, but this is standard fare for Tokyo, I guess.
