MIMARU Tokyo Asakusa Station

Fantastic stay

Pros: Perfect location, great apartment for our family of 4. Everything in pristine condition and staff wonderful. Made it extremely easy to transfer luggage to our next hotel in Kyoto. Were very patient with our poor attempts at speaking in Japanese language. We stayed 4 nights and came back the following week for 2 more nights.

Cons: There is nothing that we didn't like. So grateful to have stayed here.

Pros: I found this property based on another guests' recommendation who had the same requirements as us - family of 3 (parent & 2 adult children). All of their recommendations were exactly what we were looking for - out of the craziness of busy areas like Shibuya & Shinjuku (but easy to reach both of these areas), close proximity to a train station, close to cultural sights, close to a kombini / shops, kitchen facilities & washing machine (in this case it was on L2 of the property). Mimaru Asakusa Station ticked all our boxes and was perfect for us and I would highly recommend it.

Cons: We were on a low floor (L4) and looked into the back of buildings. The river was right behind those buildings so I wish I had requested a higher floor so we had a view of the river. That was my rookie mistake as I didn't consider this when booking.

Excellent location, would stay again.

Pros: The location is amazing, right above the station. The room is an ok size, not huge but alright. The rooftop offers beautiful views. The free Apple TV was great. The convenience of family mart downstairs was awesome.

Cons: The beds were rock hard but all other MIMARU hotels were the same. The single lift meant waiting a bit but not too bad. It wasn't a big room compared to other MIMARU locations.

Great stay

Pros: The hotel was extremely clean and the staff very welcoming. It was centrally located just a short stroll from Senso ji and was a friendly and safe neighbourhood even late at night.

Pros: Perfect place for people who are starting their Japan journey in Tokyo! Plenty of restaurants to choose around! You can also beat the crowd and see the Sensoji temple because it is just around the corner! If You fly late, the family mart is just downstairs! I traveled with 3 children and my wife for the first time in Japan and this hotel had everything we needed!

Pros: Everything during our stay at Mimaru Tokyo Asakusa Station was seamless. The location was perfect, the staff were so kind and helpful, the room was clean, and we were provided with everything we needed. We especially loved all the staff, who were so kind whenever we approached them for enquiries or help. Thank you to everyone at Mimaru for making our visit to Asakusa even better.

Cons: Property was great, would be nice if they had the complimentary tea, coffee and slippers already in the room vs you having to pick it up at the reception.

Easily one of the best stays traveling with kids

Pros: Rooms were comfortable, modern, clean and functional. Ideally located; footsteps away from Asakusa station, walking distance to Sensoji temple. You won’t go hungry with family mart below, 7-eleven across the road and lots of restaurants close by. We were able to purchase nappies at family mart (travel packs, limited sizes) as well as at Matsuya Asakusa (department store) 100m down the road. 24h coin laundry was easy to use and made a big difference traveling with kids.

Cons: Limited tea /coffee and toiletries available at reception if required.
