Pros: Everything. The reception staff was very helpful. The footbath, the ice cream, the yakult drink, the ramen at night were all perfect. My daughters loved the footpath. I loved the massage chair.

Great location and good value

Pros: The room and facilities were clean and tidy. The bed was large and comfortable with only two small pillows. Good black out curtains and pretty quiet. Our room looked right on Sumida River which was nice. Super good location very close to all that Asakusa has to offer and moments to the station.

Cons: My only niggles were staff didn’t speak English, but my Japanese was sufficient, and the public bath didn’t include women except for a few hours on a weekend. I’d expect staff to realise it was raining and offer an umbrella but I had to ask. Not huge issues but I paid in part for the bath and didn’t get to use it.

Great introduction to Tokyo and Japan.

Pros: Room was very small but welll appointed and great location. Perfect for our first visit to Tokyo.

Cons: The Onsen was only available to women on our last day there, and as a result we did not get to experience this. It was available to men only for the vast majority of the time, which seemed very unfair to female travellers. It seem sexist and out of date to us. We were offered a coupon to visit a hotel Onsen at another hotel, a few blocks away.

Pros: Location was good, near to train station. Hotel was easy to locate. Short walking distance to many attractions. Friendly and helpful staff. Room and bathroom was rather small but the view from the balcony was wonderful- can see directly to the Tokyo Skytree.

Perfect start to the trip

Pros: The location - close to the metro, close to sensoji temple and skytree, and right next to the river The staff is very friendly and helpful The top floor foot bath, manga corner, vending machines, microwave, etc They stored our bags before check-in so we could explore the area on arrival, and they accept luggage forwarding

Cons: Couldn't make use of the complimentary ramen as it started a bit too late for our jetlagged selves 9.30pm - but I love that this is a service they provide. The room was a little on the small side, but as we were only there to sleep, it wasn't really a problem
