Red Roof Inn Kamata / Haneda Tokyo

Pros: We were able to check in early on arrival and staff were very welcoming. Great location for a night before an early flight

Pros: I stayed at this place for about 5 days, and I had a great experience. It's very close to Kamata Station, which was super convenient. The staff were extremely helpful, and the currency exchange machine was a fantastic amenity - no need to visit a separate currency shop! I'd definitely stay here again

Nice and easy stay and location

Pros: Short walk from the JR station, close to a few convenience stores and in an easy to get to location. Rooms were nice with a good bed. Shower and toilet are together. Overall nice stay for an affordable price.

Cons: Nothing really to complain about.

Perfect easy accommodation for Tokyo and day trips!

Pros: Location was great with close proximity to the train station that took me right in to Tokyo and also went to Yokohama and Kamakura for day trips. The neighbourhood was quiet but had good food options and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Pros: Amazing room, it was clean and full of amenities (water kettle, tea bags, water bottles), free coffee and breakfast. The bed was comfy and warm, and a lot of pillows, would definitely stay again

Loving the location & the staff friendly & easy to communicate

Pros: All staff fluent in English easy to communicate. Convenient store walking distance 24 hours open. Kamata station close by easy to get around. Washing machine & dryer on 7th floor. Free tea, coffee station in the foyer. Money exchange machine in the foyer. We are able to leave our suitcase for a few days as we were going up north until our next check-in day.

Cons: Not sound proof. Can hear people slamming doors or walking in the hall way. (Some guests are disrespectful making noises at 1 or 2am). Staff should remind them about this.

Beautiful staff. Quiet location, close to train. Local shops & restaurants around.

Pros: I like the room we got this time. Not so cramped I guess because it’s a double. We didn’t have to go thru same process again giving passport details as they already knew we were previous guests. We got our key straight away. I like how we can leave luggage after check out. It has one drier & washing machine. There is a money exchange machine in the foyer. Tea, coffee, soup packet all day in the foyer. All staff fluent in English easy to communicate.

Cons: Just the space is too cramped in the bathroom.

Pros: free upgrade to have city view! (and not a brick wall)

Cons: maintenance of buildings need to improve. window curtains very dusty and AC units outlets dirty.

Cool hotel in a cool neighbourhood.

Pros: Great location in the most dangerous neighbourhood in Tokyo! That earns guests some bragging rights. Kamata is a lovely hood buzzing with people and good food, near Shinagawa and Haneda Airport. Staff was nice to extend check out hours and charge $1000 yen for each hour until 2pm. Instead of charging me an extra day outright. They’re understanding and reasonable. Sorry for the late check out though.

Cons: There were some stains on the table upon check in. Walls are not fully sound proof, it’s quite noisy when you’re staying at the unit right outside of the only laundry machine in the hotel. Ear plugs are provided so I slept well.
