Hotel VARKIN

Big room and great location.

Pros: The room we had was much bigger than normal Tokyo hotels at this rate and we had space to put our suitcases, clothes and shopping!

Cons: The only things I would say is that sometimes room keeping does not replenish the tea. The other would be the pillows are a little uncomfortable and they couldn’t provide fluffier ones.

Great stay for a very reasonable price!

Pros: It is very close to the Ikebukuro train station which will get you anywhere (either directly or to get a train to another station). Theres lots of convenience stores close by, a coin laundromat down the road and a don quijote around the corner. This is a “love hotel” however we stayed for 7 night and had no issues at all! Lots of amenities provided in the room and even got a couple of face masks when we checked in. This room is also a lot bigger than most places - enough floor space to open up 2 large suitcase and it had a huge bed.

Cons: The lighting is a bit dark even with everything turned on full, but you can open the window shutter for good natural light :-) the bed was a lot firmer than we are used to but got used to it after a couple of nights

Pros: The hotel location is perfect - train/subway station and stores are very close by. The staff was super helpful, we got free dessert in the room while visiting, the bathroom was huge. You can hear shinkansen passing through during the day and while some may find it disturbing, for me it was the part of experience. I could not hear it while sleeping. We got cleansers, lotions, shampoo, conditioner, all sorts of complimentary amenities.

Cons: The ventilation in the bathroom could be better and we had to put barrier at the door so that the floor would dry. But it is such a small thing, wouldn't stop me from booking this hotel again.

Easy access location, a good place to rest after a lot of sightseeing in Tokyo!

Pros: Everything was amazing! Our room had all the necessities including bath salts! The room was very clean and spacious, we even had speakers that we could connect to our phones. The location is also amazing, just a few minutes from Ikebukuro station.

Nice love hotel with huge beds, jacuzzis and in a central location

Pros: Great love hotel. Lots of amenities, jacuzzi and huge bed. Large room. Very close to Ikebukuro station. It’s my third stay here and I’ll always stay there when in Tokyo.

Pros: The location is great everything is provided spacious

Cons: Big items big table in the room no place for clothes and as a traveler I would loved to have more space to walk to the bed instead of big table in the middle but I think it is still more spacious in comparisons to hotels in Tokio in the Same price range

Pros: Amazing location. Ikebukuro is a fantastic area of Tokyo. Easy access to train and Yamenote line. Lots to see and great restaurants.

Spacious rooms and bathrooms

Pros: Amenities, space of bedroom and bathroom and bath tub

Cons: Check in time was 6pm, you can hear the trains from the rooms

Great location and fantastic staff

Pros: I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Varkin. The reception staff were incredibly helpful, thoughtful, and professional, making me feel welcome and well cared for. Everything was very private, which added to the comfort of my stay. The location is a major highlight - right next to the main tube and train station, making it easy to explore the city. I’d especially recommend this hotel for couples looking for a relaxing getaway, though it may not be the best choice for families.
