Super Hotel Ikebukuro-Eki Kitaguchi

Great place to land for a couple of days as it’s right in the thick of it all, really exciting location and staff super

Pros: Location and price were fantastic, you get a lot for a budget accomodation.

Cons: The rooms are very compact with low ceilings so maybe not so comfortable if your super tall

Relatively quiet for a busy hotel, enjoyable onsen and welcome drinks

Pros: Surprisingly (relatively) quiet for a busy hotel. The bunk bed at the top was very useful as extra storage space, given how small Japanese hotel rooms are. Free alcoholic welcome drinks in the lobby in the evenings! A microwave on every floor, useful for someone who buys food from convenience stores. The onsen was spacious and relaxing.

Cons: The washing machines were both out of order (thankfully there's a very cheap laundromat one street away). Need to walk through a slightly seedy area of town to get to the hotel directly from Ikebukuro Station.

Good and cheap place in Ikebukuro!

Pros: The room sizes were a bit too small, specially when you carry big baggages like the ones we were carrying! Apart from that, everything was okay! The staff was kind all the time and helpful, always putting new sets of clean towels outside the rooms and drinking water! Also the room was warm and very quiet! It's a small walk from the hotel to the Ikebukuro Station (10 mins max) which makes it convenient to get anywhere you want!

Cons: Small room, even for 2 people!

They had free sake 7pm untill 10pm and the Onsen was wet so much fun ;))

Pros: The location is spot on. The room? Cosy enough to make a sardine jealous, but spotless and stocked with everything one could need. The staff were lovely and spoke such perfect Japanese that I felt inspired to butcher the language in their honour while attempting to learn it.

Cons: nothing.

Pros: Everyone on duty at front desk speaks fluent English, very kind and makes us feel like home. Water/ sparkling/ cocktails are provided at the lobby. The hotel is like less than 10 minutes walking from the station and there are 2 family mart and 1 Lawson around, super convenient!

Superb!

Pros: Staff attempted to repair my luggage which has a wheel broken by the time I arrived at Super Hotel Lohas. Even though the wheel eventually dropped off and I had to buy a new one, I greatly appreciate that the hotel staff attempted to repair it with super glue. Thank you so much. Additionally, hotel staff was kind enough to help receive packages delivered to the hotel before I check in. They received the package and organised it such that I could get it upon arrival. Staff was also helpful with the laundry service when I was clueless about how to operate the machine. Onsen was unique with fizzy soda-like water.

Cons: Only draw back is reception isn’t 24/7 as compared to other hotels. Otherwise, very well done.

Pros: Really convenient! Away from the noise. Easy 6 - 7 mins walk from the station! Love the pillow.

It's a nice hotel but with no flexibility of checking in a little bit earlier or checking out late

Pros: Excellent breakfast, but the room is small. Having the onsen facility at the hotel is a treat.

Cons: The room is small, and need to pay extra to extend the check-out time.

It’s a good hotel and not far from the subway
