Pros: The staff spoke more English for this Toyoko Inn branch.

Cons: This Toyoko branch was smaller and busier. The breakfast area was abit of a squeeze and food wasn't topped up fast enough. There was only 2 staff during breakfast and it seemed like they needed more help. There wasn't enough bread options as children might not like to have rice everyday for breakfast. By 8 30am all the bread would be usually gone and wasn't topped up.

A good place to stay near Ueno Park

Pros: Excellent location, with easy access to metro, but yet away from the busy hustle of the. A very calm and quier neighborhood.

Very good price-performance for Tokyo

Pros: This hotel offers nearly everything you need. The staff was very friendly, helpful and answered all of my questions. Breakfast was amazing for that price and they even offer a tasty curry twice a week. Location is great for exploring Tokyo on the East Side while maintaining access to Shinjuku. Overall lovely.

Cons: The mattress is very hard for European standards, which I like. Just note this before your booking.

Pros: The coziness of the bedroom, the comfort of the bed, the functional shower, the kindness of the staff, the great location in Asakusa and right next to a train station. We had a great stay, thank you :)

Cons: It was not a problem for us, but the rooms are a bit on the small side so don't bring too many or too big luggage. The room is otherwise fully equipped and very comfortable/clean.

Modest but clean, great location, priceworthy and nice

Pros: Priceworthy. Great location, short walk to stations with easy straight connections to Sumida, Akihabara, Tokyo station, Shinjuku, Shibuya etc and of course also walking distance to all the sights in Asakusa. Clean, fresh and nice. Liked the breakfast. Love the hard mattress!

Cons: One more chair in the room would be great, but of course that would mean very little floorspace since the room is small. If you're looking for a room with a view this had none, the window was blocked so only the daylight came in but couldn't see through - guess there was a wall close by. Not a huge problem though (considering the location is good and price still low).

High-quality and affordable accommodation near the metro station

Pros: A small (as everywhere in Japan) but well-soundproofed room. The hotel is located not far from the subway station. Helpful staff at the reception desk.
