Good value for money even though we literally booked two days before our stay.

Pros: Location is very good! The neighborhood is quiet and there’s a lot of restaurants including supermarket (seiyu, that also has tax free service!) Familymart is also near the hotel. I feel like the room is slightly bigger than the typical business hotel I’ve stayed in before. Lobby is spacious. Despite many comments saying the hotel is quite old, everything is kept very clean and tidy. They even give out free water for every night you spend, water size is very compact so you can also bring them out. Would love to stay here again in the future.

Cons: The con is that there’s no key card but they use the actual key. So when you get out, you’ll have to deposit the room key at lobby and retrieve them when you’re back. The front desk opens 24hr so it’s still ok.

Close proximity to Yamanote Line😊

Pros: Very convenient to Yamanote line. There is a family mart just beside the hotel. Seiyu department supermarket is just within walking distance. The quiet neighbourhood and close proximity to Sugamo station is the plus points. Reception staff are friendly and approachable😊

A clean, comfortable Japanese-style business hotel with an excellent location

Pros: Smile Hotel Sugamo is a typical Japanese business hotel. The room is small, but it is very clean and comfortable enough. The staff members are all friendly and will help you as best as they can. But the very best thing about the hotel is the location. It is a very short walk from JR Yamanote Line, Mita subway line, a 24-hour supermarket, and plenty plenty plenty of restaurants, cafes, bars, and so forth. The Sugamo suburb is quite local and not as hectic as other tourist-centric neighborhoods too. When I come back to Tokyo, Smile Hotel Sugamo will be right at the top of my wish list on places to stay

Cons: Although the hotel provides one small bottle of water for every night you stay, it's not enough. If possible, it would be great to have a filtered water dispenser in the vending machine areas or the lobby.

Perfect for people travelling solo and getting around the city of tokyo

Pros: The number one thing I love about this place is the location, it is very close to the station like 5min walk. The staff is very helpful and kind making the stay more comfortable and cozy. Although I only spend my time in the hotel to sleep I always come back to a clean room with new towels.

Cons: The humidifier for me looks like its not maintained.
