Lovely neighbourhood
Pros: Comfortable room with additional space, ideal for our family of 4 staying 6 nights. Great access to trains, close to the sumo tournament and a lovely neighbourhood. Washing machine available at hotel.
Cons: The loft style beds may not suit everyone. Neither sleeping area had ceilings high enough to stand up, and the top level was very creaky when climbing stairs and walking to beds. But this layout created additional space in the room and worked our family.

Pros: Good location for us as a family of four. Close to transport, loved the autumn leaves and colours around the area. Quiet, peaceful, enjoyed the 4 beds for a bit of space and the kids loved the bunks. Friendly staff.
Cons: Room is a little bit dark even with lights on and window shades open.

Lovely new hotel in a quiet yet convenient location
Pros: The hotel is conveniently located in a quiet area. Nearby there are incredible restaurants and a great supermarket, and it is a 5 minute walk to Ryogoku train station. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are modern and we liked the split level set-up as we travelled with our toddler and my elderly mother.
Cons: Our only small notes are we felt that the cleaners needed to dust the room more as it was very dusty when we checked in, and that the cups should be provided in the room and not at the front desk, as these were not available when we checked in but were on offer the following day when we had already purchased cups to use. We also understand that hotel sizes in Tokyo are quite compact as we have stayed in other hotels in the city before, but if you are over 6 feet tall you may find the sleeping areas challenging. We were able to manage this, but just a note for taller people when booking a stay here. Otherwise, we really loved our stay, and will hopefully book a stay here the next time we’re in Tokyo.

Pros: We loved the location. Sumo training area, so very quiet and authentic area with some lovely traditional restaurants. We saw the occasional sumo wrestler walking around. This is a quiter area, but we liked that for the start of our trip while we adjusted. Easy metro links, but it is slightly further out. Easy to get trains into major tourist areas. Rooms smaller than expected, but did fit for of us (2 x teenagers)

Amazing place to stay - we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Pros: The location worked extremely well for us as a family of four. The train station is a 5 minute walk and it is so quick and easy to jump on the lines and head into Shibuya, Shinjuku, Tokyo, Akihabara, Ginza etc. We loved that it wasn’t right in the hustle and bustle of the city as it was a nice quiet area at night. Family Mart was around the corner too and 711 just down the road. Staff were great and very friendly. We were overall very pleased and are so glad we have booked to come back and stay there in another 5 days time.
Cons: There really wasn’t anything we didn’t like. Thought it was a great spot.

Comfortable and well-located accommodation.
Pros: Location and very nice staff. A well-designed space for 4 people.
Cons: Just minor things. We noticed some of the sockets didn’t seem to work (the USB ones). It would be useful to have a little washing-up liquid (I’m not sure if that’s something you need to ask for, like cutlery and plates, cups, etc.). Instructions in English for the drier like you have for the washing machine would be helpful. Otherwise, that’s it! Everything else was great!

Quieter, family friendly modern hotel
Pros: Travelled with a family of four and found the hotel staff at Arcsens to be excellent. They spoke English and were very helpful, even booking us a restaurant when we needed to make phone only booking. The bathroom was clean, rain shower head was sensational. Beds were comfortable and linen; hotel quality. Air conditioning required to keep the heat down and this worked well. Despite being “Tokyo tiny” size we had enough space to store our belongings and have space to sit on the couch. Just beware of hitting your head on the loft ceiling bedroom! Stairs to get to the loft bedroom were fine. The kitchen lacked utensils and dish cleaning supplies but these were accessible when I asked for utensils from the staff who kindly provided. Overall a lovely modern, clean comfortable sound proof hotel room in a quiet area with heaps of local restaurants to go to and very close to the train and convenience stores.
Cons: No dish cleaning supplies nor rack in kitchen

Nice quiet boutique hotel
Pros: Quiet location in a residential area. Apartments are very solid and noise proof, we hardly heard anyone else the whole stay. Small boutique hotel good for family of 4 or group of 4. The room was very modern and the kids loved the loft style sleeping.
Cons: No cutlery, chopsticks, bowls, or mugs provided. These can be borrowed but just makes sense to have a few in the room. The stove is not necessary as there is nothing to cook with. A microwave in the room would serve better.

Pros: This was our second time staying here. We love it!!!! All four of us have our own beds and it's only a five minute walk to the Sumo stadium Ryogoku . Staff are polite and helpful. They accepted our sumo tickets for us and held onto them until we arrived. Staff also allowed us to leave our luggage before check in. We will stay again. Thank you.
Cons: I have nothing bad to say.
