Cozy and quiet stay with great transportation choices
Pros: We had everything we needed for a pleasant stay in Tokyo. The house was quiet, tidy, and comfortable, and included all the necessary amenities. Located in a residential area, it was truly a 3-minute walk to the Oyama Station and a shopping area. From Oyama Station, it's only 3 quick stops until Ikebukuro, and from there you can go pretty much anywhere. If you miss the last train, it's a 30-minute walk from Ikebukuro. We couldn't be happier with our choice.
Cons: We pretty much loved everything. My only tiny complaint is that my bedside lamp was a bit dusty, but everything else was amazing.

Excellent accommodations in a quiet residential area, with easy access to everything Tokyo has to offer. Very responsive
Pros: Location - in Itabashi City, a quiet suburb on the north side of Tokyo. A well-appointed and well cared-for house. A short walk to Oyama Station and a few minutes ride on the Tobu-Tojo local line gets you to Ikebukuro Station, from where you can easily get to any destination in the greater Tokyo area. Several very good local restaurants nearby (our favorite was the small ramen shop Osada, just a two minute walk from the house). The house is managed by an agent for the owner. We had one small issue early in our stay that was swiftly handled by the agent and followed by a personal apology from the owner. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay.
Cons: There was no booklet of instructions in the house, so we were on our own figuring out the washing machine and the trash bins routine. We’ve traveled enough in Japan that we had no trouble figuring things out, but first-timers might have trouble. We have suggested that the agent or owners see to providing complete instructions for their guests.

Perfect house
Pros: Very gracious hostess. It was very clean and fit all of our needs as a group of 5. The location was convenient. It was a well decorated, modern house.
Cons: Some of the beds were quite hard. As of September 2025, there is loud construction going on in the morning.

Excellent house with amazing hosts.
Pros: The house was spotless, with a some very useful amenities, such as laundry detergent (though we didn’t needed it), hair dryer, coffee, tea, etc. it was around 20:00 when we were supposed to to arrive at the area. We had children with us and it was raining. The host, an amazing lady was already waiting for us under the rain out in the street to guide us to the house. She gave us lots of advice about the area and made sure our kids felt happy and safe.
Cons: That we couldn’t stay longer. It was a very pleasant experience.

Pros: We had a wonderful stay at this home. The host was very welcoming and made us feel comfortable from the beginning. The house was clean, cozy, and fully equipped with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The overall atmosphere was warm and homely, and the location was quiet and convenient — perfect for relaxing after a long day. train station and a lot of restaurants near the property.
Cons: most of the electronic appliances had instructions only in Japanese. While the host did explain how to use them, some details were a bit unclear or easy to forget. It would be even better if there were English instruction manuals or a simple guide available for future guests.
