Pros: Its located within the Yamanote line, and easy to go around.

Cons: The slopes up to the house, but it was a good exercise

Pros: We had a lovely stay at this house! Tabata is a nice residential area and, being on the Yamanote Line, is a great base for exploring all of Tokyo. The kids enjoyed watching all the trains fly past. Handy to have decent supermarket close by as well. We’re very glad we booked this house.

Lovely place, also for young children

Pros: We were there with our young children. This place had everything and more than we expected. It had umbrellas against the sun and rain, flip flops, shampoo, toothbrushes. It als had a washing machine for clothes, water cooker, a little bread oven. No ironing. The kids loved the view from the living room and from the balcony. You can hear the trains but in few hours you don't anymore because you get used to it. The kids also loved the sleeping place in the attic. Place is very clean. It's relatively close to the action: walking to Tabata station, very convenient station to Tokyo, Shinjusu and Shibuya. (Tabata is less than 1km walking). There is a small supermarket nearby, 2 mins walk. This one more expensive, cheaper one is further away around Tabata station. Contact with host was very easy.

Cons: It was a great place. If I had to say something, we had to get creative on where to seat while eating diner. Not enough seats for 7 of us 😅. Just to be mindful: our kids are used to walking long distances. They were not used to walking long distances in the burning sun and 37 C. With these distances and potentially hot or rainy weather than 850m is really really far. There is a bus stop in like 2 minutes walking, but it only goes like every 25 minutes. That can be used to get to Komagome Station/ Tabata Station, so you have to time it right.

A unique view and experience in a nice house

Pros: Unique experience living in a house with a view of 2 train tracks next to each other. And watching trains moving bi-directionally. Surprisingly, the sound did not impact our sleep. House was adequately fitted. Watching the view from the living room with the huge sofa or from the patio is quite an experience.

Cons: Preferred if each room had a small bedside table.

Pros: Very nice view from the house, we could see the Tokyo Tower

Cons: Is not we didn't like but the trains sound was loud, lucky trains not raning all night in Tokyo

Amazing!!!

Pros: A few minutes walk to a mini mart, mc donalds, restaurants, and the train station. The host was lovely, and we were greeted with local snacks and a sweet note. Finding the place was easy, and our teens loved sleeping upstairs in the nook. Will definitely recommend this place to friends and family visiting Tokyo. The place was very clean & well stocked.

Cons: Not a thing.

Very unique - Perfect house, good location and a great host

Pros: - Great and spacious house with a unique location and great views of the Tokyo Skytree - It was very clean - Amenities were plentiful - Host was very nice and helpful. He always responded quickly to all enquiries and made us feel welcome at all times - It‘s a relatively short walk to Tabata Station from where you can easily reach every major destination in Tokyo e.g. via Yamanote Line

Family two week stay

Pros: Close to Tabata station. Private and very quiet despite the proximity to the train tracks. The trains were great entertainment. The house was clean and has a great layout of bedrooms and living spaces. Fantastic communication from the hosts. We loved our home away from home.

Pros: Beautiful & cozy house with a pretty view. Not far from the train station. We enjoyed watching all the trains. Harry was a great host, very nice and responsive. We appreciate the welcome note, snack. The house manual & guide were very thoughtful. Thank you so much!

Cons: Nothing really. Maybe a mirror for downstairs bedroom would be great.

Loved This Cozy Train Home

Pros: Loved this very unique property. Watching the trains while staying in this comfortable home was a great asset to our trip in Japan. The sounds of the trains was so Zen and lull’d us to sleep each night. We will definitley stay here again on our return trips to Tokyo.
