Pros: It was in a great location with lots around and very close the the station.

Cons: It has a very large step to get into the bathroom. The room was on the ground floor. The space between the door and toilet is very small my friend who is 5foot 9inches had a hard time using the bathroom with the door closed.

Pros: Location is nice and quiet now center but the price was good , close to train and 7/11 . Host was so nice and bed very comfortable

Cons: Room veryyyy small, not like the picture , not enough space for bags and spend time in the room.

Pros: Accesibility, very close to Otsuka, Sugamo and Ikebukuro station

Cons: The first room I got was very small, hard to move around, but it was very clean and had several commodities

Nice Little Place to Stay

Pros: I have reviewed this place before, but I am writing again because the owner of this place is so kind. While the rooms are small and simple, I stayed here for work 1-2 times per week during the academic year, and I noticed lots of small changes through the semester-- more decor, the towels are thicker, the shampoos and soaps have gone up in quality. The owner always communicates with me if there is an issue; once I forgot a charger and the staff held onto it for me, and when I got to my room the next week, it was there waiting for me! I won't be able to stay here again until the new academic year starts, but I recommend this place. We built up a good customer and business owner vibe I haven't experienced anywhere else. Thank you!

Great stay at the Nishisugamo hotel.

Pros: Excellent stay at the Nishisugamo hotel. Although I never saw the manager of the establishment, he was always willing to help me (I had a small inconvenience that I solved very quickly despite being at night). It is located near the Otsuka Station of the Yamanote Line, it facilitates the tour of the entire city of Tokyo and surroundings, in a super quiet neighborhood. If I go back to Tokyo, I would stay there again.

Cons: The room was small but everything is small in Japan.

Good location + Value for money + Helpful hotel owner

Pros: The location is strategic with short walking distance to Yamanote line which is under JR pass. It is a circular line that includes many stops throughout Tokyo. 7-11 is nearby where we got our coffee and sandwich for breakfast, as well as drinking water. Very convenient. We had dinner during one of the nights at もんじゃ Haru (2 minutes walk from our hotel) for monjayaki which was a delightful and welcome surprise! The hotel owner is very helpful and responsive, this made our stay more enjoyable. We booked a triple room and it was at ground floor. The design of the room is good as the single bed is at one side while the double bed is on the other side, separated by toilet/bathroom. Last but not least, Booking.com is a great platform for accommodation reservation, always kept us posted on the status and provided a no-time-delay channel with hotel owner. We will definitely continue to use Booking.com in our future trips.

Cons: Due to space scarcity in Tokyo, the room is just nice for resting. Washing machine/laundry area is located at roof top. No complaint anyway as it's value for money.

Pros: it was very homely, and close to a station which made it vert nice and easy. the beds were comfortable, and the shower was nice as well. the owners were also amazingly kind and sweet

Very pleasant stay. Room is clean and comfortable. There is public bathroom in the close proximity, which is a big plus.

Pros: Very well kept and clean room. Free laundry machine access. The owner was very responsive and reacted quickly to all my concerns.

Cons: Lack of elevator and water takes long time to heat up in the bathroom.
