Ueno Sky Garden

Pros: A cosy and lovely little flat in the heart of Ueno, right next to a shrine, which made everything more magical! It's pretty much a room, but given the Japanese standard we were ready for that. Even though the space was small, there was everything we needed for our stay. A little kitchen with a sink, fridge and hob, with cutlery and cups which allowed us to have dinner and breakfast several times. The shower room was the best part, spacious with soaps/shampoo provided by the host. There is a little balcony with a washing machine/dryer which saved our life after 5 days of visiting Tokyo! There is no reception (it's a building with other apartments) but we were lucky to meet the owner (or manager) on the day of the check-in; he doesn't speak English but he volunteered to help us with the big suitcases, which we felt so bad about. I regret not asking him his name, I really wanted to thank him for his kindness!

Cons: The room is on the 5th floor and the stars are very steep, so be careful when you climb up with large suitcases! If you are thinking of sending your luggage to your next destination - like we did - be mindful that there's no reception so they cannot either receive or send anything. We went to a nearby 7 Eleven and the process was super smooth.

Wonderful and convenient

Pros: Wonderful location, just 8 minutes by feet from Ueno station and just 2 minutes to nearest Metro. The room was super cozy, we slept very well. Also there is so much to explore in the area, endless food options, huge mall, zoo, museums, beautiful city park. Also you can walk to Akihabara and Kanda districts by foot. The room has a balcony! The host is VERY kind, helped us with so many things and answered instantly. He fixed any issue we had. I highly recommend this accomodation.

Cons: I wish there was a full body mirror.

Ideal place

Pros: Friendly host with great service. Great location and practical to take a 6am train to the airport. Love the terrace and the washing machine. Great views

Great location that is quiet but near all the action.

Pros: The location was absolutely perfect. It is located on a quiet street near two local shrines and many different restaurants. The roof top view was beautiful, you can see one of the shrines gates and the tokyo tower. The hosts were so kind and left snacks and helped carry luggage down the flights of stairs. I would recommend this place to anyone I know and come back next time I return to Ueno.

Couple stay at Ueno for seven nights

Pros: The room was very cozy with many amenities available. The host was quickly responsive and very helpful. The staff was very kind. Location is very good, Ueno is a great place to hang around until late at night.

Cons: Fifth floor, no elevator but it didn't matter due to how good the room was.

Pros: 地點非常方便，對面就是郵局，寄行李、寄明信片都很方便，步行五分鐘有lawson 跟超市～露台還有洗衣機很方便。

Cons: 希望可以有全身鏡！
