Comfortable stay, excellent Hosts
Pros: I had accidentally booked for 1pax but the Host immediately provided additional bedding/towels for 2. Simple accommodation about a 15min walk from Minowa station. About a 10min walk to Asakusa town centre and Senso-ji temple. There are a lot of soaplands nearby but this is not a bother or trouble. The only negative is there's not a lot of natural light but there is an exhaust fan to help get fresh air through. Lockable luggage storage, laundry - all great.
Cons: The lack of natural light or a window did bother me a little but if you're only using it to sleep or short stays, it's fine.

Cozy apartment in a secluded street
Pros: The accommodation is in a secluded street, away from noise and traffic, so you won’t be bothered during your stay. There are also plenty of convenience stores within 2-3 mins walking distance, meaning you don’t have to worry about food. There was plenty of room even though there were six of us. The apartment itself is very clean. There are several buses near by, but no subway entrances. Still, you can connect to them after a few stations via bus. Sensoji is close and reachable by foot. There are also plenty of amazing restaurants near that area, if you’re looking for a decent meal. The owner always responded to our messages quickly, which makes you feel at ease.
Cons: The only thing that I would single out as a hassle were the stairs 😅 they are not the easiest to climb up, but you get used to them. This should not deter you from picking this place.

Pros: The apartment is situated in the quieter part of Asakusa, which was a welcome reprieve from the noise and bustle of the more touristy areas of Tokyo generally. You get a real sense of real Tokyo, and there are many cute little coffee shops around, as well as very good sento and of course a great choice of kombini. You can easily walk to the busier area of Asakusa and to the Sensoji shrine (meaning you can visit late at night or early morning before it gets busy). Some great shopping and eating down there. The apartment is very clean, with comfortable beds and a good shower, good air con (a must in summer) and a cute little tatami seating area
Cons: The apartment is a little dark, and there isn't a table so if you don't want to eat on the tatami you'll have to eat on the bed. It's accessible to other parts of Tokyo by transport but to take a train you'll need to walk 15 mins to the nearest station. The apartment location is very good for visiting the sights in Taito City, but keep in mind it will take 45 min - 1 hour to get to Shinjinku and Shibuya and the areas near there.

Joyeuses surprise
