Pros: TSS is tucked away in a quaint corner of the suburban side of Ikebukuro. It’s right opposite Sunshine City (5-min stroll to Muji and Starbucks which you could use as a marker as the inside of the shopping centre can be a maze). There are multiple convenience stores around so the location is excellent and very quiet due to it being residential with no restaurants and bars nearby. The property had everything we wanted including twin beds which was convenient as we like our own space. The check in staff was also very friendly. It’s very easy to go shopping at Sunshine City and just go back and drop things. Overall the building is very clean, aesthetically pleasing and sturdy. My husband enjoyed his sleep as it was very quiet.

Cons: Important things to note: Do note that laundry is coin operated and you have to buy for washing and drying separately (¥300 for 30 min of washing and ¥100 for each round of 15 min of drying). Two issues: There were no laundry baskets provided which meant we had to use shopping bags to carry our wet laundry, and we always had to struggle to get enough ¥100 coins. You’d expect a coin changer machine there. You’d have to remember to change them at UFO game shops before coming home on a laundry day. Toilet area (3 doors, 1 each for toilet, shower, and drying off area) can be a tight squeeze, even with just two adults. There is only 1 bath towel each per person.

Pros: The appartment was spacious, clean and super close to Sunshine City. The neighborhood is great as you can find anything you want. From restaurant to arcade, you have plenty to do :) There is also washing machines in the building so no worries about finding one around. The staff was also responsive to messages so we appreciated that as well.

Lovely and quiet and near the fun in five mins

Pros: Nice quiet area good value for money lovely host. 5 mins you are in the action and fun but can be away from it to recharge. The host helped us with our things up the stairs we were in 2 nd floor and managed fine leaving. My daughter 13 absolutely loved the apartment and the area so much anime we even went to the cinema to watch demon slayer and great train connections. We would recommend this place thankyou x

Pros: We really like the room, very spacious and the kitchen is well equipped.

Pros: Great room in a great location. Only a short walk from the bustling anime centre of Ikebukuro, and sunshine city just across the road. Bed was comfortable and the kitchenette has all the supplies you'd need. Overall enjoyed my stay and would stay here again.
