Great house in great location
Pros: Some lovely thoughtful touches inside the house, such as tissues in every room and nice art on the walls. Beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed. Shower downstairs was amazing. Location was perfect. We felt we were living amongst the locals. The streets nearby were filled with gorgeous lanterns, in preparation for Halloween.
Cons: The three flights of stairs were quite steep and quite a challenge for some of us!

Everything was great!!
Pros: We found this accommodation last-minute during a business trip, and although it felt a bit luxurious for just two people, it was very clean and tidy. It’s rare to have two bathrooms, which makes it even more suitable for families or groups. The location is extremely convenient — Asakusa, Ueno, and Akihabara are all within walking distance. There are also several metro lines and train stations nearby, with supermarkets, drugstores, and various street food options just 1–2 minutes away on foot. In the evening, the retro Showa-style shopping street is beautifully lit and full of charm. The host responded quickly and was very accommodating.
Cons: There was nothing negative.

A local experience
Pros: We liked staying in an inner city residential area. Seeing how the locals live and how they build houses to make use of the tiny plots of land they can build on.
Cons: Nothing. Would not suit travellers that weren’t able to climb stairs or walk happily.

I love it a lot! Hope to be back here when I come Tokyo again!
Pros: A cozy place for families and groups. Very new and clean. The location was really accessible to akihabara and nearby convenience stores and restaurants. There’s even 2 very clean toilets with dryer and washing machine! I can’t say enough to describe how much I enjoyed staying here. Host was very prompt in replying too!
Cons: None, I love all about it

It's a decent place that's not too far from train stations
Pros: 10-15mins walk from multiple train stations, very cozy, ac was great, we could use the projector downstairs to watch movies all together, host was easily reached and check-in/check-out was simple, trash rules were simple as well
Cons: the stairs were very steep, it was hard to carry luggages in the upper rooms, there wasn't hot water for the last 3 days of our stay, but that didn't really bothered us, the common area is not very big, it was slightly tight for 8 people, the wifi couldn't reach the third floor and had weaker signal on the 2nd floor

We Enjoyed our time in Tokyo.Asahi house was a restful place to come home to at the end of a busy day
Pros: Location was good. It was a close to train station, quiet neighborhood, comfortable accomodations for the party of 7 in our group .
Cons: Very comfortable house. For the host- please think about install hooks at the entry for coats and jackets and hooks in the bathroom to hang up towels. Thank you for providing house slippers!

A comfy, cozy oasis on the precipice of the Electric Town
Pros: Loved the space we had to breathe. The house was able to facilitate entertainment in the basement, dinner with friends on the ground floor, a night sky gaze on the roof and a good night's sleep on the 3rd floor! Not sure who left the figurine of Paula from Mother 2 next to the basement stairs but it was a welcome surprise!
Cons: The stairs were a bit steep for me but that's simply the nature of houses like this in Japan.

Fun time near Akihabara
Pros: Loved the accessibility to nearby stations. Far enough to feel distanced from the chaos but close enough to be useful. Great amenities and usable space. We only slept 3 so it felt huge. Washer and dryer was a huge plus.
Cons: Nothing in particular stood out as bad. Maybe clearer instructions for garbage/recycling for a first time Japan navigator. (What about bottle lids, metal tabs, glass jars)

A good location to stay at, clean and great for young travelers!
Pros: The location was around a 10 minute walk to multiple stations making it easy to travel around the different districts in Tokyo. They provided all the necessary amenities and even had a karaoke/projector set up in the basement level for entertainment. The place was clean and didn’t see any signs otherwise. There were two bathrooms which made it more convenient for us 5 staying there. It was also in a pretty quiet neighborhood which we appreciated at the end of the day through a busy city. This property looks exactly what we saw in the pictures! The owner was also very friendly and quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had during our stay!
Cons: Some things to keep in mind are that the stairs are very very steep and small and you do have to be careful on them, would not recommend this place if you are elderly or have any physical issues. Another thing to note is that there is a controller in the kitchen to start the hot water for the property which may be hard to navigate if you have never used one before or don’t know how to read Japanese. Those sleeping in the 3rd floor will have to go down 1-2 levels for a bathroom which was a little inconvenient due to how steep the stairs were.
