Mitsui Garden Hotel Gotanda - Tokyo

Excellent Stay

Pros: Everything about this property was exceptional. Very clean very friendly staff. Balcony was lovely. Really good location. Local amenities around the property was also great. Staff were very knowledgeable and excellent.

Cons: I really have nothing negative to say.

Nice location, friendly service, could be better value.

Pros: The hotel is in a good location, with easy access from Haneda airport. It's nicely located close to Gotanda underground and other bus stops. It's just 30 mins to Shinjuku and very accessible for sight-seeing in Tokyo, conveninet location for amenties and shops.

Cons: Hotel rooms in tokyo are quite small, my husband is 6ft 4 and the bed and bath were only just ok in size. There wasn't enough room for us to lay out our suitcase and clothes properly. The elevators are busyand have to wait.

Comfortable, convenient & relaxing

Pros: Great location - walking distance from JR Gotanda/ Tokyo Metro Gotanda Station. Has Lawson downstairs, Donki nearby and lots of food places nearby too. Amenities are great - free water in the fridge, coin laundry upstairs as well as vending machines makes the stay very comfortable. The rooftop onsen is clean and nice, with an outdoor section to relax and look at the beautiful city views and this is the highlight of my stay here. There is a monitor on the TV telling you the capacity so you can tell whether it’s packed or not! Breakfast gets full quickly so come early.

Cons: Nothing! So far so good.

Good Choice Overall

Pros: - Very helpful staff (Helped us with sending our luggage from Tokyo to Kyoto) - Descent size room for Tokyo standards, and all possible amenities provided - Clean and Daily Cleaning - 3- minute walk from train station and good location if you don't mind using public transport for a bit longer

Cons: - Breakfast variety (The breakfast was so and so, although the breakfast staff were very friendly. A mix of Italian and Japanese and neither of the options were special.)

Great location to explore Tokyo from, good service with the added bonus of a rooftop onsen.

Pros: This hotel is very well located on the Yamanote line with a wide range of food and other shops on its doorstep.

Worth it

Pros: Friendly helpful staff. Good location not far on train from major sites

Good location, clean modern rooms

Pros: Location is a few mins walk to station. There's a Lawson downstairs, Tokyu supermarket nearby.

Cons: Rooms were very small compared for the price vs other hotel with similar grade and price. Breakfast was crowded.

Perfect, loved it.

Pros: Reception staff very helpful and knowledgeable. Location perfect for the underground station. The rooms are clean and well presented. The breakfast was plentiful, with lots of choices.

Cons: The rooms are very small, we booked a superior wide king room, and there was only 2 of us, but it was small even for 2 of us. ( However this is perfectly normal for Japanese Hotel rooms) I'm only mentioning it as I would make sure when booking you book the biggest space available.

Pros: I loved the facilities, food was also amazing. Rooms were abit smaller than expected but it was cute and just nice for couples. For the price, it was well worth it.

Connected location and helpful staff.

Pros: Lovely view from the reception floor. Well connected to Shibuya and Shinjuku with Gotanda station being located only close-by. Nice and helpful staff.

Cons: Our room felt outdated and small, especially compared to their other sister hotel in Ginza at the same price point.
