Overall, this is a clean, comfortable hotel in a very convenient location, with thoughtful extra touches. We would happi

Pros: We had a great stay at Hotel Route-Inn Grand Tokyo-Asakusabashi. The location is excellent, with very easy access to the train station, making it simple and convenient to get around Tokyo. There are also plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby. Check-in and check-out were easy to navigate, and the staff were polite, efficient, and helpful. We were also offered a complimentary arrival drink from the vending machine, which was a really nice touch after a long day of travelling. We stayed for 2 nights, and the room was bigger than usual compared to most Japanese business hotels, although still on the smaller side, which is expected in Tokyo. The room was very clean, well organised, and had everything we needed. We also appreciated the option to choose eco-friendly cleaning, where they provided fresh towels and removed rubbish without entering the room, which was a great option for privacy and sustainability.

Cons: The bed was slightly softer than most we’ve experienced in Japan, but still on the firm side. Overall, it was comfortable and we slept well.

Pros: The hotel is in a great location, very close to both the JR and subway stations. There are plenty of convenience stores and late-night restaurants nearby. The staff were polite and helpful, and communicating in English was no problem at all. The single room was bigger and more comfortable than I expected. Highly recommended!

Convenient stay with access in Tokyo

Pros: Nice location in Tokyo, easy walking distance from the Asakusabashi station (which to note, the JR part had no esclator/elevator, only the Toei line had escalators). Room was well sized enough for suitcases to be opened. Having a public bath was nice and relaxing.

Cons: The soundproofing in our room wasn't the greatest, seems like the window seal is not very good, but it wasn't to the point of disturbance.

Pros: Position is recommended, next to train and subway station to get anywhere. Reasonable price for the service offered.

Cons: I would recommend to start breakfast service earlier, even just half an hour. Tourist sometimes have to wake up early to get a daily trip.

A good hotel in a great location

Pros: This hotel is located in a great area - so many restaurants and stores around, a metro station and a JR station within 5 minutes of walking distance. You can also stroll to Asakusa or Ueno if you don’t mind walking for a bit. The room is clean and there’s a public bath, however I didn’t use it so I can’t comment on the quality. Good wi-fi and a dedicated working space in the room is a great addition.

Cons: My one downside was the lack of sunlight in my room, which I think is pretty common in some Tokyo hotels, as there are many buildings close to each other. However, if you have to work and spend time inside, it can be an important detail to consider for longer stays. Everything else is good.

Pros: This was the best hotel we stayed at during the 2 times we've visited Japan. The staff were amazing - they were very friendly and helpful in e.g. giving us information about airport transfer options. There was free tea in the lobby every evening and they gave us a free drink from the vending machine for each day we chose the eco-cleaning option (we still had fresh towels every day and bins emptied daily with this option). The room had a charging cable we could use for our devices, as well as the usual PJs, skincare packets, and bidet toilets you find in Japanese hotels. And for stamp-collectors, Hotel Route Inn hotels have their own stamp, which was a very cute design.
